What you get

    About this experience

At over 2,000 metres above sea level in Teide National Park, the moonlit landscape is truly otherworldly, a UNESCO World Heritage Site bathed in silver light with low light pollution. Through our professional telescopes, the Moon reveals extraordinary detail: craters, mountain ranges and vast lunar seas impossible to see with the naked eye. Groups are kept small so every guest can look through the telescope and receive individual attention from our Starlight-certified guides. The tour begins with a naked-eye sky orientation: constellations, the Polar Star, zodiacal zone, planets and more. We then move to the professional telescopes for an unforgettable close-up of the Moon alongside any planets visible and other bright objects such as clusters. A second telescope dedicated to astrophotography captures real-time images during the tour — we send them to you afterwards as a gift. With more than 20 years of experience, we are one of Tenerife's most established astronomical operators.

    Unforgettable experience!!

Super organized and an unforgettable experience. Tenerife is one of the world's best places to watch the starry sky. In the morning you get a WhatsApp message with all the exact information. You will then be welcomed before sunset with a glass of cava before you go to the Stargazing spot, either by bus or with your own rental car. There, the nice guides tell you a lot of information about the starry sky that you definitely didn't know yet. They speak excellent English and you can ask them anything. Another highlight is the professional photo under the starry sky. 5 stars and definitely worth an experience!

Fantastic! Paola very nice and told us a lot of interesting things. They wore coats for everyone without us asking for them (good thing! How cold!) More than recommended!!!

Response from the operator: Estimada Rocío, Muchas gracias por su comentario. Queremos agradecer también por haber confiado en nosotros para realizar la actividad de observación astronómica, y esperamos que tanto la actividad como la dedicación de nuestros compañeros haya sido de su agrado. Very nice area and enthusiastic guide. Nice stars and bright moon. Be cautious that after the tour you will need to drive off the mountain through mountain roads which are dark and misty.

Response from the operator: Dear Heng_C, Thank you very much for taking your time to share with others the experience of our activity. We are glad to know that the explanations of our guide have been interesting to you. Thanks for trusting us! Kind regards!

Teide National Park: Moonlight & Stargazing with Astrophotography: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does Teide National Park: Moonlight & Stargazing with Astrophotography cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Teide National Park: Moonlight & Stargazing with Astrophotography take?

    +

Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is Teide National Park: Moonlight & Stargazing with Astrophotography worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Teide National Park: Moonlight & Stargazing with Astrophotography?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Teide National Park: Moonlight & Stargazing with Astrophotography suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Teide National Park: Moonlight & Stargazing with Astrophotography?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Teide National Park: Moonlight & Stargazing with Astrophotography start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
