Porto has great flavors that must be savored

Met our guide Wilson for a 2+ hour tour of Porto that included 5 stops where we tried amazing Portuguese food & drink. First stop was in a small but popular shop that made amazing custard tarts that were served with Espresso. Next we walked on to a market with all types of vendors with fresh produce, meats, cheeses and more. We stopped at a cheese vendor and tasted 3 cheeses along with some tasty wines, including green wine. From the market we found ourselves in Conga, a very popular “fast food” restaurant where we savored spicy pork sandwiches that left our lips tingling and wanting more. The beer was just the right beverage. Next stop was a quaint little place where they served us wine to go with our 3 traditional dishes. The last stop was in a wine shop for a port wine tasting. We have a new appreciation for port.
