The Best Safari Experience Thanks to Honest
Apr 2026 I have just returned from an absolutely incredible safari in Tanzania, organized by Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours, and I can only recommend this agency 100%. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish: logistics, accommodation, program... no stress, just the pleasure of enjoying the experience. But what really made this trip exceptional was our guide, Honest. He is simply remarkable. His knowledge of fauna and flora is impressive, and he has an incredible eye for spotting even the most discreet animals. Thanks to him, we had unique moments and saw an incredible amount of animals. In addition to being very professional, Honest is passionate, warm, and always in a good mood. He takes the time to explain, share his knowledge, and adapt to our desires to make each day perfect. If you’re planning a Tanzanian safari, head over with Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours and ask for Honest as your guide. You will live an unforgettable experience! Another huge thank you for this exceptional trip!

A Memorable 5-Day Safari in the Serengeti with Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours
Our family recently got back from a five-day safari in Serengeti National Park with Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours, and the whole trip was amazing. We were made to feel quite welcome as soon as we landed in Tanzania. We were immediately made to feel welcome in a foreign land by the Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours staff, who welcomed us with smiles and unwavering friendliness. While our son Michael was ecstatic to see the safari vehicle waiting for us—he knew the adventure was about to begin—my wife Anna was particularly moved by the warm and considerate reception at the airport. From the beginning, the team's organization, kindness, and professionalism were clear. Juma, our guide, was outstanding; he made sure we were comfortable and safe the entire time and had extensive knowledge of ecosystems and wildlife. His expertise and keen vision allowed us to see the Big Five in addition to other uncommon birds and other creatures. Every game drive was exciting and instructive, and the whole experience was enhanced by Juma's cool, collected manner. We were able to tour the middle and northern Serengeti at a leisurely but interesting pace thanks to the carefully planned itinerary. After every day of exploration, guests were treated to first-rate service and clean, comfortable accommodations with stunning views. Excitation and relaxation were perfectly balanced. Since we were traveling as a family, we wanted everyone to feel at ease, involved, and included, from kids to adults. In every aspect, Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours surpassed our expectations. The team's kindness, attention to detail, and reverence for the environment produced a setting that was both professional and intimate. Michael still speaks about seeing lions up close, and Anna couldn't stop taking pictures of the breathtaking scenery—it really made an impression on all of us. We give Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours a perfect 5 stars for every part of the journey, from the initial point of contact to the end of our safari. We truly appreciate everything they did, and they went above and above. We would especially like to thank Juma, our guide, whose professionalism, compassion, and extensive knowledge made this safari an adventure of a lifetime. We will always cherish this journey and hope to return someday. Asante sana to the entire Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours team.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your heartfelt review—we're truly honored to have hosted your family on this unforgettable Serengeti safari. It brings us great joy to know that you felt warmly welcomed from the moment you arrived, and we're especially proud to hear how much you appreciated Juma's knowledge, professionalism, and calm guidance throughout your journey. We're thrilled that the itinerary, accommodations, and game drives exceeded your expectations and created lasting memories for Michael, Anna, and the entire family. Your kind words inspire our team to continue offering meaningful and personalized safari experiences. Asante sana for choosing Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours—we look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

Tanzania 5 Big Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does Tanzania 5 Big Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $2,300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tanzania 5 Big Safari take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is Tanzania 5 Big Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tanzania 5 Big Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tanzania 5 Big Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tanzania 5 Big Safari?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tanzania 5 Big Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
