Absolutely Amazing! Wish I could rate more than 5 stars.
It has been a lifelong dream of mine to visit Agra and the Taj, and I would not have done it any other way...this company went above and beyond answering questions, making the itinerary personalized, and booking tickets to monuments, train, and car transportation to and from the train station as well as around Agra. I literally just showed up. Any small detail was taken care of. Additionally, the price point for this excursion was great. Our tour guide was Ravi Soni, and we had an amazing time. He is fluent in both English and German (as well as Hindi of course) and went above and beyond showing us perfect angles for photographs, and even took some for us when we wanted to be in pictures together. Aside from photos, he had amazing information to share about all the monuments and their rich history. Ravi was an incredibly kind and funny individual (great jokes) and I am planning on recommending this company and tour guide to any friends that are planning a trip to Agra (and definitely recommend it to anyone who reads this review). It's the little things that stay with you, like drinking chai on the train at sunrise, or having my picture taken in front of the Taj, running around in my socks on the cool floors in the building next to it to find the perfect angle. I will keep these close to my heart, and I have these memories thanks to this experience. Some final tips: 1. There is a photographer option at the Taj Mahal. If you are wanting cute group or couple photos, go for it- if you do, you will have professional prints and digital copies of them, all for around 40 bucks. At the Taj Mahal. 2. If you are planning on doing shopping, ask Ravi for recommendations. Especially because of the economy bc of the pandemic, it is really important to support local business as much as possible. Even though you aren't visiting a crowded bazaar, you will get to experience thorough tours of the shops you visit before you look at inventory. For example, I was interested in local embroidery and learning more about inlay work (like you see at the Taj Mahal). Besides the monument tours, we also went on a tour of local shops that specialized in these handicrafts and we were able to shop from a variety of price points (ranging from very reasonable all the way to sky is the limit). The artisans that produced these wares had done so as a family business for generations. If you instead prefer a general marketplace, I'm sure the guide can also accommodate this as well!! 3. If you want street food, go for it! And also consider food recommendations that tour guide has too. The restaurant options are often a quiet break from the busy tour portion of your trip.

Very convenient and comfortable day trip from Delhi
I opted for this tour via Classic Tours and Mr. Rahul was very helpful in helping plan the itinerary. We got our train tickets in advance and the pickup from our Delhi hotel was very smooth and our driver gave us detailed instructions on boarding the train. We were promptly received by our driver in Agra on arrival and our guide Mr. Ravi was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job of providing a detailed account of all the history behind the sites at Agra. Overall a great experience and would absolutely recommend this tour!

Taj Mahal and Agra Private Day-Trip from Delhi by Train: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Taj Mahal and Agra Private Day-Trip from Delhi by Train cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Taj Mahal and Agra Private Day-Trip from Delhi by Train take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Taj Mahal and Agra Private Day-Trip from Delhi by Train worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Taj Mahal and Agra Private Day-Trip from Delhi by Train?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Taj Mahal and Agra Private Day-Trip from Delhi by Train suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Taj Mahal and Agra Private Day-Trip from Delhi by Train?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Taj Mahal and Agra Private Day-Trip from Delhi by Train start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
