A great guided tour in the historical Sydney
Andrew showed us a lot of the historical Sydney, with anecdotes and facts from the Australian first settlers. In 2 hours, we saw plenty of beautiful places with always very knowledgeable comments (in French! Andrew is very fluent in French!).

Buyer beware!
Buyer beware!! Booked this tour on Feb 24 for a Mar 2 tour at 8:30am. My wife and I were getting off a cruise ship that morning with a return flight to the US at 2pm. I paid for the tour tickets and arranged and paid for storage of our luggage at a nearby business location, which couldn’t be refunded if cancelled after 8pm Mar 1st. After purchasing the tour tickets the tour operator sent an email requesting our input regarding what we wanted to see/do during the tour which I responded to. A day or two lter I received another email asking if we would change our tour date to Mar 3rd which I responded as “unable” since we would no longer be in Sydney. Next email said we would be advised of the tour guide’s name at some point. After disembarking the ship the morning of Mar 2nd, I received an email from the tour operator that, unfortunately they would not be able to provide us the tour and that we could expect a refund within 3-5 days. Since we were already on the hook for storing our bags for a few hours, we just walked around the “Rocks” area taking in the sights but not much historical knowledge. Received another email later from tour operator apologizing again and asking if we would “kindly” NOT post any negative public reviews regarding our experience. So, as I began this review, “Buyer beware!”
Response from the operator: Hi Keith, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sincerely sorry that your tour was cancelled and that this caused additional inconvenience with your luggage and schedule. We completely understand how frustrating and disappointing this experience must have been. Guydeez is about creating happy memories and because of this, we have already contacted you via your email directly to follow up. Once again, our apologies for this inconvenience, and we truly hope you will consider giving us a second chance in the future. Warm wishes, Guydeez Team

A very good introduction to The Rocks and Sydney's history
A guided tour where you get more information about both Sydney's history, the exciting area of The Rocks and about everything from markets to shops, restaurants and activities in The Rocks. Kevin was a very good guide for us, and also had a lot of additional information about Australia today and about daily life in Australia

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sydney The Rocks Walking Tour With A Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Sydney The Rocks Walking Tour With A Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $19 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sydney The Rocks Walking Tour With A Guide take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Sydney The Rocks Walking Tour With A Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sydney The Rocks Walking Tour With A Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sydney The Rocks Walking Tour With A Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sydney The Rocks Walking Tour With A Guide?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sydney The Rocks Walking Tour With A Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
