Wonderful Tour of Ku-ring-gai!
My husband and I spent our first full day in Sydney with Mike who took us on a private tour focused mostly on the Ku-ring-gai National Park. It was a great start to our 25th wedding anniversary trip, enjoying a beautiful, sunny day out in nature and learning more about the Aboriginal sites located within the park. On the way to and from the park, Mike stopped at various scenic vistas/beaches and told us more about the areas we were visiting. Easy and relaxing pace to the day and we even made a feathered friend at tea and lunch time. Prior to the tour, we interacted with Mike exclusively by email in which he was always prompt to respond. It was easy to customize the tour to focus on the items we were more interested. Top notch service! Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: What a fantastic review!! It was my pleasure to bush walk the untouched wilderness and view the stunning waterways of the superb Ku-ring-gai National Park with you :) Mike

Nice variety in a day tour
I loved this trip with Michael and a Welsh family. It had Aboriginal history, glamour, and gorgeous beaches.
Response from the operator: Thank you Joanne for the lovely review, and that's great you enjoyed Aboriginal culture and scenic views on the amazing Northern Beaches. Mike

Northern Beaches Tour
Michael provided an excellent tour of the Northern Beaches, showing our group many wonderful sites that were out of the way. He demonstrated a great knowledge of the history and background of the whole northern region and had morning tea and lunch arranged for our group. A most enjoyable tour, thanks Michael.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review, and I'm delighted you enjoyed the experiences! It was a really great day to be exploring the amazing Northern Beaches and Ku-ring-gai National Park with your fun group of friends. Mike

Big Fraud
Omg, I took this trip today. I went with my Mom , it was her birthday gift. This trip was a fraud not a disappointment.Mike the tour guide for this trip didn't follow anything mentioned in itinerary.Missed fews beaches where he was support to stop for bush walk and stopped at the different beach (Palm beach rather than Fresh water for swim) then whats mentioned in the tour itinerary Even Lunch was different , he took us to a local cafe where flies were around food (which has upset my stomach and my Mother is complaining too ),instead of taking us for lunch at palm beach as mentioned in tour itinerary. Not sure why he discriminated and treated us like this!!
Response from the operator: Hi Priyanka, I'm very sorry that you felt disappointed by some of the day's itinerary However it was a private tour and I was happy to include every thing that you requested during the day, Such as thee request to going for a swim at Palm Beach's beautiful beach pool. I do try to be as flexible as possible if the tour is private, and if guests wish to spend more time in certain spots, but then time restraints mean other itinerary spots may need to be shortened! Plus, your tour did actually go 1 hour over time! This meant, as I advised on the day, we could not stop at all the final beaches on the itinerary....instead we got to enjoy the scenic coastal drive past many amazing beaches. Go Beyond Tours will always strive to best look after our guests, and find ways to improve. So I certainly will try in the future to improve my communications as to what to expect will be seen during the day :) Also, the cafe in Avalon has been our main lunch stop on this tour for a few years now, and I have only heard glowing reviews of the food that it serves. Plus it is a very convenient location so that we can visit Avalon Beach straight after lunch :) I wish you the very best, and hope that you can visit all of the Northern Beaches yourself during your time living here in stunning Sydney! Kind Regards Mike

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sydney's Northern Beaches & Ku-ring-gai National Park Small Tour departing Manly: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Sydney's Northern Beaches & Ku-ring-gai National Park Small Tour departing Manly cost?
+
Prices start at $324 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sydney's Northern Beaches & Ku-ring-gai National Park Small Tour departing Manly take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Sydney's Northern Beaches & Ku-ring-gai National Park Small Tour departing Manly worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sydney's Northern Beaches & Ku-ring-gai National Park Small Tour departing Manly?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sydney's Northern Beaches & Ku-ring-gai National Park Small Tour departing Manly suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sydney's Northern Beaches & Ku-ring-gai National Park Small Tour departing Manly?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sydney's Northern Beaches & Ku-ring-gai National Park Small Tour departing Manly start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
