A wonderful tour at the Ku-Ring-Gai National Park
Sabina is a very nice and knowledgeable tour guide. I was the only person who had booked the tour that day and was leaving the next day, she didn't cancel the tour. She even picked me up at the cruise terminal, explained the aboriginal rock art and we did the hike at my pace. The weather was not inviting for a swim, but we still had the picnic on a secluded beach and had a good lough when a kookaburra snatched away a piece of cheese and some nuts. The tour was really enjoyable and I was so glad that I finally made it to the Ku-Ring-Gai NP, where I had wanted to go for years.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this 🌳 I have to say the kookaburra had excellent taste! That moment still makes me smile. I am so glad we did not let the weather stop us and that you finally got to experience Ku-ring-gai after all these years of wanting to visit. It truly is one of the most special places in NSW with its ancient rock art and hidden beaches. It was such a pleasure having you all to myself for the day and I hope our paths cross again on the trails! Sabina

Second Tour, Totally Different Experience ! Worth Doing Both
This was our second tour with Beyond Guidebook after doing the first one. We also got 20% off for booking again, which was a nice bonus. This national park felt completely different compared to Royal, so it’s definitely worth doing both.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for coming back for a second tour 🤍 it really means a lot. I’m so glad you enjoyed the experience again, and that you got to see how different each national park feels. That contrast is exactly why I always say it’s worth doing both. Hope you’re having an amazing time, and maybe I’ll see you again on your next adventure 😊

Highly recommend this trip.
I really enjoyed this trip. Sabina was a very enthusiastic guide who adapted the tour in several places to cover what I wanted to see. I really liked the small group element of the tour as you were not waiting for other people all the time and could see things at the pace I chose. The tour takes a guided walk through the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park which has far fewer tourists than other trips I went on and it was a wonderful chance to experience some of the countryside without so many other people crowding the trails. Stopped off at some stunning view points. I would highly recommend this trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the thoughtful review. I’m really glad you enjoyed the day and that we were able to adjust the experience a little along the way to include the places you were most interested in. That’s one of the things I love about keeping the groups small, we can move at a relaxed pace and spend more time where it feels right. Ku-ring-gai Chase is such a special place and I’m always happy when people get to experience how peaceful and beautiful it is compared to the busier spots around Sydney. I’m really glad you enjoyed the walk, the viewpoints and the time out in nature. Thank you again for joining the tour and for the recommendation.

Beautiful views, knowledgeable guide
Fantastic day with a really knowledgeable guide (thanks Sabina). Spent time walking along some forest tracks and down to the coast, seeing some aboriginal carvings in the way. Sabina provided a delicious lunch whilst we chilled out in the beach. Another shorter walk over America Bay with some amazing views. Definitely recommend.
Response from the operator: Hi Ceri and thank you so much for this, I really appreciate it. I’m glad you enjoyed the mix of forest walks, coastal views and the Aboriginal carvings along the way. That beach stop is always a good moment to slow down and just take it all in, and America Bay never disappoints. Thanks again for coming along and for the recommendation. Hope to see you out there again one day.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sydney: Ku-ring-gai Chase Private Tour with Bushwalk & Swim: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Sydney: Ku-ring-gai Chase Private Tour with Bushwalk & Swim cost?
+
Prices start at $362 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sydney: Ku-ring-gai Chase Private Tour with Bushwalk & Swim take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Sydney: Ku-ring-gai Chase Private Tour with Bushwalk & Swim worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sydney: Ku-ring-gai Chase Private Tour with Bushwalk & Swim?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sydney: Ku-ring-gai Chase Private Tour with Bushwalk & Swim suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sydney: Ku-ring-gai Chase Private Tour with Bushwalk & Swim?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sydney: Ku-ring-gai Chase Private Tour with Bushwalk & Swim start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
