What you get

    About this experience

The Navigli canals are the beating heart of Milan's social and cultural life. Partly designed by Leonardo da Vinci, this ancient network once transported marble for the Duomo and goods across northern Italy. Today, the Navigli district is Milan's most beloved bohemian neighborhood — canal-side bars, art studios, and trattorias that embody the city's spirit after dark. A sunset boat cruise along the Naviglio Grande offers a unique perspective: you glide past centuries-old buildings and vibrant terraces as golden light reflects off the water. The optional aperitivo includes one drink of your choice — such as a Spritz or Italian wine — plus a selection of snacks (stuzzichini) like olives and bruschetta. A classic Milanese ritual that marks the transition from day to evening. History, atmosphere, and aperitivo — an authentic immersion into what makes Milan unique.

    15 minute tour

I expected more time on the gondola. It lasted about 15mins. On the description it said 30mins, which I guess it meant a 5minute virtual reality video plus the walk to the dock that we had to do

    Don’t recommend

The experience was ok, it was less than 45 minutes, pretty basic and could have just walked all of it instead. I thought it was really expensive, I paid $77 for 2 people and it says an hour but in reality probably was 40 minutes. There wasn’t too many people which was nice so you didn’t feel packed. I honestly would just recommend for you to save your money, not worth all I spent. Should be a lot cheaper.

    This was a very short...

This was a very short boat tour up and back down the canal. It would have been better if the tour guide would actually talk about the area. Instead you are required to open the app/browser and listen to the prerecorded audio

Response from the operator: Dear Michael, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry the experience felt too brief and that the commentary did not fully meet your expectations. The audio guide accessed via the app is designed to let each guest enjoy the canal at their own pace and in their preferred language, but we completely understand that a live introduction can make the tour feel more engaging. We will share your comment with our team as we look at ways to enrich the narration along the Navigli. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know and we hope to welcome you back in the future.

    Tourist trip

I wish I could give 0 stars Avoid It was 20 minutes, and featured bad graffiti Total tourist trap Don’t waste your time and money I would like a refund

Response from the operator: Dear Andrea, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear the tour did not meet your expectations, and we regret that the graffiti along parts of the canal affected your impression, though this is unfortunately outside our control as it concerns public urban areas. We take all comments seriously and will share yours with our team to see where the experience can be improved. If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to our customer service team directly. Thank you again for your honesty.

    Just a boat ride.

The view and ride were great. Narration would have been nice. There was nothing pointed out or any information provided. This was JUST a boat ride.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed the views and the ride along the Navigli. We appreciate your feedback about the narration and will look into adding more information along the route to make the experience even more engaging for future guests. Thanks again for choosing us.

Sunset Navigli Boat Tour in Milan with Optional Aperitivo: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.

How much does Sunset Navigli Boat Tour in Milan with Optional Aperitivo cost?

    +

Prices start at $23 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sunset Navigli Boat Tour in Milan with Optional Aperitivo take?

    +

Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.

Is Sunset Navigli Boat Tour in Milan with Optional Aperitivo worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 291 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sunset Navigli Boat Tour in Milan with Optional Aperitivo?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sunset Navigli Boat Tour in Milan with Optional Aperitivo suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sunset Navigli Boat Tour in Milan with Optional Aperitivo?

    +

Around 102 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sunset Navigli Boat Tour in Milan with Optional Aperitivo start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Milan?

    +

On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Authentic Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Milan?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Milan?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
