About this experience
Our Sunset Celebration Cruise lasts approximately two hours and will take you from Clearwater Bay through Clearwater Pass to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Sail the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico as you view a breathtaking Florida sunset and — if you’re lucky you may witness the legendary green flash. Your crew will point out some interesting facts about the natural wonders of the Gulf Coast as well as popular sights along the way. We are pleased to include a Complimentary Sunset Champagne Toast for all guests 21 and up. While we do not guarantee dolphin sightings on our Sunset Cruise we often see them. We simply cannot guarantee because it gets darker earlier at some times of the year. We ask that all guests check in to our booth 45 minutes prior to tour departure time. We begin boarding our tours 15 minutes prior to departure and always leave on time. We cannot wait for anyone who isn't there by departure time.

Great Memories!
The Sunset Celebration Cruise was worth every penny! We had many laughs, saw dolphins, and enjoyed watching the sunset. Thank you, Tropics Boat Tours, for making this a great memory!

Dolphins with beautiful sunset
At first, I was disappointed because it was raining. Fortunately the rain stopped and we got to see dolphins and a beautiful sunset.
via Viator
The water was so rough I...
The water was so rough I cannot believe they took us out there. My daughter was so nauseous. The guy speaking was sarcastic about getting sick at the beginning and I thought that was in bad taste. There should be some kind of disclaimer about rough waters before booking and honestly the guy could be a bit less sarcastic.

Cruise with a beautiful view and employees
Pros - great view, dj and servers. Cons - food, value for money, drinks were not cold, not much to do put eat and watch the view.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sunset Celebration Cruise on Tropics Boat Tours: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Clearwater.
How much does Sunset Celebration Cruise on Tropics Boat Tours cost?
+
Prices start at $37 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Clearwater usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sunset Celebration Cruise on Tropics Boat Tours take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Clearwater is not rushed.
Is Sunset Celebration Cruise on Tropics Boat Tours worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 806 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Clearwater, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sunset Celebration Cruise on Tropics Boat Tours?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sunset Celebration Cruise on Tropics Boat Tours suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sunset Celebration Cruise on Tropics Boat Tours?
+
Around 282 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Clearwater can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Clearwater and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sunset Celebration Cruise on Tropics Boat Tours start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Clearwater within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Clearwater?
+
Clearwater Beach fills its calendar with dolphin cruises, pirate-themed family sails, parasailing, jet ski tours around Caladesi Island and sunset trips off Pier 60. On Outty we rank every Clearwater experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Little Toot Dolphin Adventure at Clearwater Beach, Clearwater Encounters with Dolphins Tour, Clearwater Beach Parasailing Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Clearwater?
+
March to May and October to November for warm water without peak crowds. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Clearwater?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
