Needed more comfort and better drink selection.

Small boat, conditions for sitting on bow of boat not comfortable. Not much variety for drinks and snacks. Paid too much for what we received. Received phone call about location change 30 min before we had to leave. Stressful to communicate to our group of 6 to get there; 1 out of 6 opted not to go due to stress and where he had to sit. Only those paying extra for dinner could sit in the back at a table. If knew in advance, would not have booked.

Response from the operator: Dear Pat, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations, though we’d like to clarify a few important details for context. As we mentioned, on the day of your sailing, strong winds and 2-meter waves outside the port forced us — for safety reasons — to change the departure point to a more protected harbour. We understand that last-minute changes can be stressful, but our priority is always guest safety, and this decision was made to ensure your tour could still go ahead comfortably and securely. Regarding seating and comfort: You were welcomed aboard a spacious catamaran (a complimentary upgrade from a smaller sailing yacht to better suit your group’s mobility needs), and we made every effort to accommodate you. We provided extra cushions and back support on the bow of the boat, which your group appreciated and mentioned several times during the cruise. Our crew and chef checked in frequently, and based on your relaxed demeanour, positive interactions, and the generous tip left for the team, it seemed the group was enjoying the experience. In terms of food and drinks: The sailing experience includes an open bar with cava, wine, beer, soft drinks, and our homemade sangria — which you enjoyed generously — as well as snacks. Guests who booked the optional 3-course dinner were seated at the rear table simply because the dining setup only accommodates up to 4 people, and your group of 6 had not selected this upgrade. We always strive to communicate clearly and fairly, and we’re sorry if there was any confusion regarding what was included. It’s never our intention for anyone to feel misinformed, and we’re always here to address concerns before or after a tour. We hope this helps clarify the circumstances and decisions made with your comfort and safety in mind. Warm regards, Sarah & The Sailing Experience Barcelona Team

Hang Back and Relax in a beautiful place.

The guitar music was wonderful. We loved the opportunity to swim in the Mediterranean Sea. The wine and tapas were great as well. We had a beautiful sunset. It was a great thing to do to relax from touring the city.

Sunset Catamaran: Small Group, Drinks, Snacks & Dinner Upgrade: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Sunset Catamaran: Small Group, Drinks, Snacks & Dinner Upgrade cost?

+

Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sunset Catamaran: Small Group, Drinks, Snacks & Dinner Upgrade take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Sunset Catamaran: Small Group, Drinks, Snacks & Dinner Upgrade worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sunset Catamaran: Small Group, Drinks, Snacks & Dinner Upgrade?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sunset Catamaran: Small Group, Drinks, Snacks & Dinner Upgrade suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sunset Catamaran: Small Group, Drinks, Snacks & Dinner Upgrade?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sunset Catamaran: Small Group, Drinks, Snacks & Dinner Upgrade start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
