Camel ride
Super experience. Picked up at hotel. Brought directly out to the desert. We'll cared for camels. Mohamod was a great tour guide loads of energy and really worked hard to make our camel ride special

Sunset Camel Ride
We booked the trip for same day in the morning and we got confirmation promptly. Even later when we wanted to clarify a few things they replied promptly. Transfers were good, driver friendly & chatty, explaining about different landmarks on the way. Loved this as he also told us about the history of the city. Thank you. We were welcomed by friendly staff at the camp. Had a smooth ride to top of the mountains/dunes. Staff also managed to take good photos of us in the sunset making the whole trip magical. Nack at camp we had mint tea & bottled water. Thank you. Good value for the price Can recommend.

Be sure to ask the camel...
Be sure to ask the camel handler if the camel is stubborn. My family were trying to get on our individual camel while they were kneeling down when the camel I was already on stood up and triggered the other camels to get up too soon; my wife almost fell.. Then when it was time to get off my camel which was kneeling down, it got up again too soon while I was getting off; I had to hold on tight before I let go so the handler could catch me. Not a pleasant experience. The handler, though, was a nice guy who did his best.

A Fun Experience at reasonable price
We booked a sunset camel ride for my daughter's birthday. This was easy to book on Viator and a good value for money compared to the same excursion sold in Marrakech. Transfer to and from the Palmeraie was included which was great and practical. The excursion felt a little bit rushed to start with, probably to keep up with timings, but the ride in the Palmeraie was nice and long enough. The guide was pleasant. We could get some lovely pictures of the sunset. However, I wish we had time to take individual pictures with our camels. For some reason our Family was split (2 at the back and 1 in the middle) which wasn't great as we could not share this moment together as a family. Also, the camels were attached to each other with a very short rope which seemed very uncomfortable for the animals (but maybe this was for safety reasons?) I would still recommend this as it was a fun and relaxed moment, and an experience to remember.

Wouldn’t ever book again
The reviews for this experience are excellent however we cannot say we agree. We where picked up on time which was great however as soon as we arrived we felt we had made the wrong decision. The camels all had a rope tied around there ankle that tethered them to a metal rod in the ground so they couldn’t move far and each camel was attached by rope to another camel which barely gave them enough room to move there heads. If one camel moved then all of them had to move. Then to mount the camels they needed to kneel on the ground and they way the guides got them to do this was by using a stick and rapping the camels knees to make them bend. The scenic route we thought we would be taking turned out to be what appeared to be wasteland full of empty wine bottles, rubbish, cardboard boxes and Heineken cans. We felt that we had contributed to the camels poor life by paying for this trip and we therefore would definitely not recommend or do a trip like this again. A poor baby camel followed his family all the way around also which we felt sad about - This is the first bad review I have ever wrote on here but feel I need to be honest for other travellers

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sunset Camel Ride Marrakech with Transfers: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Sunset Camel Ride Marrakech with Transfers cost?
+
Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sunset Camel Ride Marrakech with Transfers take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Sunset Camel Ride Marrakech with Transfers worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sunset Camel Ride Marrakech with Transfers?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sunset Camel Ride Marrakech with Transfers suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sunset Camel Ride Marrakech with Transfers?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sunset Camel Ride Marrakech with Transfers start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marrakech: 1 Day Tour-Best of Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys, Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Marrakech: Atlas Mountains, Ourika Valley, Waterfall + Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
