What you get
About this experience
If you travel to Granada you cannot miss this unique experience of enjoying the sunset in Sierra Nevada at more than 2,500m altitude. It is an experience that awakens unforgettable emotions and sensations. Walking during sunset along a short path with incredible landscapes and the nature of this unique natural park on the roof of the peninsula is something unforgettable. We leave Granada in a van to travel 39 km to the last point allowed for vehicles in the Sierra Nevada peaks. During this trip we will make some stops to enjoy the scenery. We will arrive at our goal to take a 10-minute walk through a ravine to enjoy the sunset spectacle. With luck we will still be able to see the species that live there, such as the mountain goat, wild horses, the fox or the golden eagle. It is also a place to take great pictures, which we provide you with our professional camera.

Julio was an excellent...
Julio was an excellent guide, very informative and very kind. He also took a lot pictures for us! During the trip we make a few stops along the way to admire the mountain views and some goats. We had a short walk to reach the sunset viewpoint and than we admire the beauty of Nature. An amazing 4 hour tour.

Sierra Nevada sunset trip in winter
We had a wonderful daytrip with Julio took us 3 different viewpts. Each unique on its own While weather was cloudy we still could see the wild and beautiful landscape including native wild animals like horses and mountain goats, thyme bushes etc. Best surprise waiting for us-light snowfall at 2500m and lots of photo memories.
Response from the operator: We had a wonderful day trip with Julio, who took us to three different viewpoints — each one unique in its own way. Even though the weather was cloudy, we could still admire the wild and beautiful landscape, including native animals like horses and mountain goats, as well as thyme bushes and other local plants. The best surprise was waiting for us at 2500m: a light snowfall and plenty of unforgettable photo moments. And even though we couldn’t enjoy the sunset as planned, we still had an excellent excursion overall. Truly a memorable experience!

Great trip with Julio- Sunset Sierra Navada
Julio was an excellent tour guide! It didn't take long maybe 45 mins/ hours to get to the top. We stopped to see the reservoir and took more pictures and Julio explained how the rain rushes in winter/February/ March/ April to fill the reservoir. I think it would be very green and lush in May! We also saw many mountain goats and he explained that they would show off their agility in the rutting season. At the top there were again some more AMAZING pictures!! Thank you Julio for a lovely adventure!

Great trip 10/10
A really amazing trip with Julio. Julio kept us updated before the trip (due to dodgy weather conditions), met us and gave us a great experience as advertised. The group nature of the trip is also great for meeting fellow travellers. 10/ 10 would recommend to anybody in Granada. Thanks again! Jon and Walaa
Response from the operator: Dear Jon and Walaa, Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you had such a great experience with Julio and that the trip lived up to your expectations. Keeping everyone informed and comfortable—especially when the weather is unpredictable—is a priority for us, and it's wonderful to know you appreciated that. We're also happy that the group setting added to the fun by connecting you with other travelers. Your recommendation means a lot, and we hope to welcome you back to Granada someday for another adventure! All the best,

Peaceful and picturesque sunset tour
Julio was a fantastic guide and allowed us plenty of time to take in the views and sunset. We managed to see some wild horses which truly one of the highlights. He kindly stopped on the way back to let us buy some fresh honey! The perfect way to spend our last evening in Granada.

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sunset at 2,500m in Sierra Nevada: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Granada.
How much does Sunset at 2,500m in Sierra Nevada cost?
+
Prices start at $62 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Granada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sunset at 2,500m in Sierra Nevada take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Granada is not rushed.
Is Sunset at 2,500m in Sierra Nevada worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Granada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sunset at 2,500m in Sierra Nevada?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sunset at 2,500m in Sierra Nevada suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sunset at 2,500m in Sierra Nevada?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Granada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Granada and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sunset at 2,500m in Sierra Nevada start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Granada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Granada?
+
On Outty we rank every Granada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Granada: Sierra Nevada Safari tour up to 2500 meters high, Granada Tapas and Wine Small Group Tour, Granada: Albaicin and Sacromonte Segway Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Granada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Granada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
