    Disappointing and Dangerous

Paid for instructions and they just sent us out with the boards and said like 1-2 sentences, showed us a little map of where we should go, and then was like, “the marina is across the street”. That interaction made the group who had never paddle board nervous and they only paddled boarded for like 15-20 min before one decided to give up because they thought they would drown without better instructions. Don’t do this excursion, it’s just renting a paddle board. That’s it.

Response from the operator: Hello : We include basic instruction at the shop, the area you paddle is flat water and on the bay with house around , is the safest location you can get is a rental with a basic instruction , i think you guys assume is a excursion as i read you comment. We are happy to help you if you don't fell safe and our team is there to support you, in this case is a rental no a excursion.

You're Risking Your Life - Literally

PRO: Clean equipment + friendly staff CON: 1. There is NO BEACH + NO LIFEGUARD + NO PEOPLE around. 2.You have to carry your paddle + board (20lbs) at least 10 min each way to the actual marina. 3. If you fall in and you cant swim you will likely drown + no one would know, so if you feel good about that then go for it. 4. Again, it's the lack of supervision & guidance for me. It's not worth the price. 5. It's really for intermediate to advanced swimmers / paddle boarders. 6. I would NOT RECOMMEND this business to anyone. I highly suggest everyone google the location before you go to see it's exact proximity from the beach. I would highly recommend you go somewhere else that is actually on the beach with people around. That way if something were to happen to you or your loved one, at least there is a lifeguard around to see it. Find a closer location to the beach for a better experience.

Response from the operator: Thanks for your comments but there is not life guard at the bay areas or park were we are located due the fact that is very calm water and safe for all paddle activities, our shop is located 80 yards from the boat ramps, our staff help you if you ask to take the boards to the boat ramp, is just 3 min walk no 10 min to cover that distance. there is not rentals at the beach because the ocean is rough with current and winds will take you away. we have been in this are doing business for 8 years and no one have complain about life guards or that is dangerous, we have a clean no claims record for 8 years . i think your perception is acurate to the reality of how safe this operation is for all type of people.

    Very affordable.

We had never tried paddle boarding but were interested to try. We rented a board and peddle for an hour and got some instructions. Nothing to overwhelming but good enough to get you going. We were unable to finish the suggested route in one hour and turned back but that was most definitely because of our skill level not because of the equipment or the instructions. In hindsight we should have rented for two hours. If you want to spend a day doing something different in Miami Beach.. go for it. Kind staff. They have (free) lockers available but I would not put any real valuables in them. The locks are not protecting much. But staff is on site so I assume they keep an eye out for the lockers.

Sunrise Miami Waters: Paddleboard or Kayak Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Miami.

How much does Sunrise Miami Waters: Paddleboard or Kayak Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Miami usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sunrise Miami Waters: Paddleboard or Kayak Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Miami is not rushed.

Is Sunrise Miami Waters: Paddleboard or Kayak Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Miami, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sunrise Miami Waters: Paddleboard or Kayak Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sunrise Miami Waters: Paddleboard or Kayak Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sunrise Miami Waters: Paddleboard or Kayak Adventure?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Miami can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Miami and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sunrise Miami Waters: Paddleboard or Kayak Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Miami within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Miami?

    +

Miami splits between the water and the neighbourhoods. Biscayne Bay boat tours, Key Biscayne snorkelling and Everglades airboats cover the first, while Wynwood mural walks, Little Havana food crawls and South Beach deco tours cover the second. We rank Everglades operators carefully: many depart from Miami but the good ones run their own boats rather than reselling seats. On Outty we rank every Miami experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2 hrs Miami Private Boat with Cooler, Ice, Bluetooth Stereo, Little Havana Food and Walking Tour in Miami, Miami: 2 Hour Private Yacht Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Miami?

    +

November to April, dry season, before hurricane and humidity months. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Miami?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
