A good mix of e-biking and a hike

A good mix of e-biking and a hike. Super e-bikes (don’t recall the make though) . Jake, our guide, took time to familiarise us with the e-bikes and we stopped to discover some interesting sites on the way. The hike was in a loop along the river and up into the forest. Suggest you wear suitable shoes as terrain can be slippery. A good mix of e-biking and hiking. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Response from the operator: Glad to hear that Jake took such good care of you on your tour together. This is our most popular program for all the reasons you listed. Glad to hear you enjoyed your day with us, and we hope you can join us again on a future visit to Banff.

Banff Sundance Canyon E-bike & Hike

We had an amazing time on this tour. Fantastic group of people but what made it was our guide Lauren an absolutely wonderful guide so much knowledge and enthusiasm who obviously loves her job, just a really lovely person. Lauren made the trip for us plus the outstanding views xx

Response from the operator: Thank you for telling us about your experience with Lauren. We love to see our guides sharing their genuine selves out on the trail, it makes for a more authentic and enjoyable day. We will let Lauren know you say hello!

    Really great morning!

Great e-bike trail ride and then a good hike into a canyon. Awesome hike up the side of a falls and then thru a forest to the lookout. Calvin was personable, shared great knowledge and insights and even had recommendations for lunch afterwards. It was a very fun morning.

Response from the operator: Hi Charlotte, thanks for letting us know that Calvin was such a big part of making your morning in Banff so special. We will be sure to pass along your kind words!

    Great tour with great guide

Sam was an amazing tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. She answered all of our questions. We rode our bike to Sundance Canyon and then hiked. It was a beautiful hike with waterfalls and Mountain View’s. It was very tranquil and not crowded at all. We didn’t see anyone else on the trail when we went. We did the 9:30am tour. I would highly recommend this tour. We wore hiking shoes for their tour and were fine on the e bike with them.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review, Cindy! The Sundance Canyon program is a guide favourite for all the reasons you listed. We love to offer these lesser known gems to show people the beauty of Banff without the crowds. We also agree Sam is amazing!

Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Banff.

How much does Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $119 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Banff usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Banff is not rushed.

Is Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Banff, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Banff can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Banff and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Banff within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Banff?

    +

On Outty we rank every Banff experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hop-On and Hop-Off Banff Bus, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the Icefields Parkway Full-Day Tour, Lake Louise Emerald Lake Natural Bridge Half Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Banff?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Banff?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour?

    +

Included: e-Bike, helmet; and Professional Interpretive Guide. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Where is the meeting point for Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour?

    +

Meet us at the White Mountain Adventures location at 202 Bear Street, on the corner of Bear and Caribou. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.

What languages is Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour offered in?

    +

It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

    +

The operator notes: Not recommended for pregnant travelers. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.

What happens to Sundance Canyon eBike and Hike Guided Tour if the weather is bad?

    +

This experience depends on good weather. If it is canceled because of poor weather, you are offered a different date or a full refund.
