Great value and an amazing experience with Francis!
The price is excellent considering everything the tour offers. They pick you up at your hotel and take you to both lakes, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. There is a guide who explains the origin of Banff, the local flora and fauna, and some geography along the way. Francis was my guide, and it was an incredible experience. He was truly attentive to making sure everyone on the tour was comfortable. He offered us coffee and hot chocolate every now and then since it was a chilly morning. He even took care of carrying our bags to the van so we could walk around the lake without any extra weight. Plus, he was always ready to answer our questions. We had 2 hours of free time at each lake, which gave us more than enough time to explore and take wonderful photos. Since it was early in the morning, there were no crowds; we basically had the place to ourselves. The company is a small local business, which makes me feel like I contributed to the community by choosing them.
Response from the operator: Hi Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience with us. We truly appreciate your thoughtful feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, and that the early morning timing allowed you to experience the lakes without the crowds. It is wonderful to know that you found the tour informative and appreciated learning about the history, wildlife, and geography of the Banff area. Your kind words about Francis mean a great deal to us. We are thrilled to hear that his attentiveness, hospitality, and willingness to go the extra mile—whether offering warm drinks, answering questions, or helping with your bags—made your experience even more enjoyable. We will be sure to share your compliments with him; we know he will be grateful to hear them. As a small local business, your support truly means the world to us. We are especially touched that you chose to travel with us and recognized the value of supporting a local company. Thank you once again for choosing Into The Wild Tours. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the Canadian Rockies for another adventure in the future!

How far in advance should I book Sunrise at Lake Louise and Explore Moraine Lake with Local Guide?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. +
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Canmore and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
On Outty we rank every Canmore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 8 Iconic Stops. 12 Comfy Seats. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Canmore?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Canmore?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
