About this experience

What makes this activity special? A truly unique experience in Europe. The Golden Shark is one of the few tourist submarines operating in Europe and offers the opportunity for real underwater diving as a passenger, without the need for scuba diving. From Puerto de Mogán you can discover an underwater landscape that is normally only available to divers, including “La Atlántida”, our artificial reef project created to favor the regeneration of the seabed, as well as the wrecks and other elements that are part of the route. More than a simple excursion, it is an opportunity to discover the ocean from within a real submarine and get to know a project that combines tourism, exploration and conservation of the marine environment. A different experience to share with family, couples or friends and discover one of the lesser known faces of Gran Canaria: its underwater world.

One experience that shouldn't be missed.

Really nice overall experience. I really recommend. I saw some people saying they could see things properly. We're able to see the bottom of the sea very clearly, lots of fish and quite interesting and massive shipwreck.

Fun and exciting

Yellow Submarine Experience Absolutely fantastic experience! 🚢🐠 The kids absolutely loved it, especially getting to see all the fish up close from the yellow submarine. Seeing the underwater wildlife and the ships that have sunk was fascinating and made the trip really memorable. A brilliant experience for the whole family, and the kids haven't stopped talking about it! 🐟💙 Would definitely recommend it and would happily do it again!

Absolutely fantastic

Absolutely loved this. They give you earphones to listen to the guide whilst exploring. I was a little apprehensive as I’m claustrophobic! But there was plenty of space (seats in sets of 2 next to each other) I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this & would highly recommend 🥰👍

Response from the operator: hank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your submarine adventure and that even your initial apprehension due to claustrophobia quickly disappeared. We have carefully designed and equipped the submarine cabin to provide a spacious, comfortable and relaxing environment, ensuring that every passenger can enjoy a unique and unforgettable journey beneath the sea. We hope to welcome you on board again whenever you return to Gran Canaria!

Submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gran Canaria.

How much does Submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria cost?

+

Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gran Canaria usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria take?

+

Plan for about 0.7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gran Canaria is not rushed.

Is Submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 175 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Gran Canaria, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 0.7-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria?

+

Around 61 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gran Canaria can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gran Canaria and add a light layer if any part of the 0.7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogán, Gran Canaria start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gran Canaria within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Gran Canaria?

+

On Outty we rank every Gran Canaria experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Puerto de Mogán: Coastal Cruise with Optional Snorkeling & Lunch, Guided tour of the Banana World, The Volcano Heart Tour: Hiking, Tasting and Sunset Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Gran Canaria?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Gran Canaria?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
