What you get
About this experience
Enjoy Stockholm Archipelago in the glow of the sunset light. Perfect and relaxing activity for the end of the day! The Sunset Kayak Tour in Stockholm Archipelago is truly a spectacular experience. Take in the serenity of archipelago when the sun goes down – a time when the seas are at their calmest. Immerse yourself in the spectacular natural environment, despite being just 30-minutes from Stockholm. We go kayaking in the nearby waters to enjoy the calm and relaxing evening filled with all the wonderful scents of nature. We will quietly and slowly enjoy surroundings along the way. The pace for these tours is a little slower than our normal 4-hour Archipelago Kayak Tour. We will try to spot native wildlife including beavers, seals, roe deers and coastal birds. Wear outdoor clothes according to the weather: quick-dry hiking pants/shorts, thermal top, a rain jacket and sandals (shoes you don’t mind getting wet). If you wear prescription glasses we also recommend using a strap.

Nice evening kayak
Lovely evening kayak. We saw a beaver and a beaver lodge on our journey. Theresa did a great job leading our group of 10. Some tips - all our kayaks were double, so odd-numbered groups may find one person kayaking with someone from another party. Aldo the kayaks had foot pedals to steer, which was new to me. They provided rain jackets so you needn’t bring your own. Easy train ride to pickup point. Really nice way to spend an evening.

Great experience. Tour...
Great experience. Tour was fairly calm, though we had some wind during our tour. Jacob was an excellent guide. The distance outside of town was a bit more than I expected. But it was a wonderful tour.
Response from the operator: Hey Sean, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour, even in the windy conditions. Thank you for visiting us and hope to have you back someday! Lucie & the Skärgårdens Kanotcenter Team

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Stockholm Archipelago Sunset Kayaking and Fika tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Stockholm.
How much does Stockholm Archipelago Sunset Kayaking and Fika tour cost?
+
Prices start at $127 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Stockholm usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Stockholm Archipelago Sunset Kayaking and Fika tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Stockholm is not rushed.
Is Stockholm Archipelago Sunset Kayaking and Fika tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Stockholm, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Stockholm Archipelago Sunset Kayaking and Fika tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Stockholm Archipelago Sunset Kayaking and Fika tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Stockholm Archipelago Sunset Kayaking and Fika tour?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Stockholm can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Stockholm and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Stockholm Archipelago Sunset Kayaking and Fika tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Stockholm within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Stockholm?
+
On Outty we rank every Stockholm experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Stockholm: Walking Tour of the Old Town, Best of Stockholm: Small Group Walking Tour (Max 10, 3 Hours), Vasa Museum Guided Tour, Including Ticket & Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Stockholm?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Stockholm?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
