What you'll see and do
The Green Trails
We start off with a short introduction about the archipelago kayak day's program. A 45 minute drive by air-conditioned minivan will take you away from the city and into the archipelago. We start off with some sea kayaking instructions and safety precautions. Shortly after we're out in the Baltic Sea! We'll paddle through both small island groups and crossing open sea. The present birdlife is very rich, and swans, eagles and many other birds are seen on basically every trip. We'll pick out our own island and enjoy restaurant prepared, organic lunch. From bird colonies to ancient fortresses, there are many sights to visit along the way. Maybe we decide to enjoy some 'fika' on the way, roping all kayaks together. Upon return we briefly conclude the day and your guide will bring you back to the meeting point safely.

Fantastic day out on the water!
What a great day! Paul, our guide, was great! He tailored the tour to our experience level and was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about kayaking and making the most of the sea/wind conditions, but of the nature and landscape we were navigating. It was a great day of enjoying the peace of the archipelago waters, walking through a forest to a lookout point, learning about the flora and fauna and even having a Baltic swim. We were fairly novice kayakers and we felt completely safe and even though we chose a full day tour, we managed just fine. I would definitely go back and do more tours with Green Trails when I'm next in Sweden.

A Great Day Out
Everything went smoothly and the whole experience was quite enjoyable. Marcus was great... super friendly, knowledgeable, and informative about topics I did not expect (like what was edible in the first around us).

Great day on the water!
What a fantastic experience! Matt was a great guide and we paddled with a wonderful group of people aged between 13 and 60+ Lunch was delicious and we really enjoyed the short hike to the view point and appreciated Matt sharing his knowledge of foraging with us. A great day out. Thank you

Great views and fantastic guides!
My husband and I joined a full-day kayaking excursion last week and it was fantastic! Thibaut and Matt were enthusiastic, fun and easy to work with. The sights we saw while kayaking and hiking were beautiful! Thibaut and Matt shared their knowledge of fire starting, local plants, and foraging - things that I love learning about. :) Getting to the pickup location from central Stockholm was easy on public transportation and the ride to and from the archipelago was smooth. I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone interested in a relaxing, outdoorsy experience while in Stockholm.

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Stockholm Archipelago Tour by Kayak: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Stockholm.
How much does Stockholm Archipelago Tour by Kayak cost?
+
Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Stockholm usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Stockholm Archipelago Tour by Kayak take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Stockholm is not rushed.
Is Stockholm Archipelago Tour by Kayak worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 109 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Stockholm, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Stockholm Archipelago Tour by Kayak?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Stockholm Archipelago Tour by Kayak suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Stockholm Archipelago Tour by Kayak?
+
Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Stockholm can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Stockholm and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Stockholm Archipelago Tour by Kayak start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Stockholm within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Stockholm?
+
On Outty we rank every Stockholm experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Stockholm: Walking Tour of the Old Town, Best of Stockholm: Small Group Walking Tour (Max 10, 3 Hours), Vasa Museum Guided Tour, Including Ticket & Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Stockholm?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Stockholm?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
