    About this experience

The existence of pollinators is highly significant in ensuring the sustainability of agriculture's products. Among several pollinators, bees are the most recognized and common in the plant world. However, not everyone knows that there is a type of bee that is stingless, harmless, and smaller than a regular bee. In fact, these bees are great pollinators, and they can produce honey that has 10 times the amount of anti-oxidants as compared to normal honey. Through this tour, we will take you to our family's stingless bee farm and teach you how to breed the stingless bee from a log to a man-made beehive. You will also learn the type of plantation required for the bee farm, and the most exciting part is that you will have the chance to taste the original honey taken directly from a stingless bee honey pot. After your bee farming tour, your guide will take you to the hidden gem called Beji Taman Mumbul . It's a combination of the natural beauty of Spring water, caves, and spiritual wander.

    Very organized & great host

We had a great trip with Vito. He was so happy and gentle which mattered because my son is 4 and spastic with crazy amounts of energy. The be farm was fun to see and we tasted the honey. Bring some bug spray (mosquitos!) also the family with the bees was great. Informative. It’s a pretty short visit but very nice space. The water temple is gorgeous. Bring bathing suits if you want to do the cleansing ritual and blessing! As a visitor I enjoy it more than Tirta Empul because it’s less of a tourist destination but so beautiful. Vita shared a lot with us about Bali ese culture and the temple practices.

Response from the operator: Hi Elizabeth Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you and your family had a great experience with Vito. He will be very happy to know that his friendly and gentle personality made the tour enjoyable for both you and your energetic little one. We’re also glad you enjoyed visiting the bee farm, tasting the fresh honey, and learning from the local family. Thank you as well for sharing the helpful tip about mosquito spray for future travelers. It’s wonderful to know that you found the water temple beautiful and peaceful, especially compared to more crowded destinations. Bali’s culture and spiritual traditions are very special to us, so we’re happy Vito could share meaningful insights about Balinese culture and temple practices during your journey. Thank you again for choosing our experience. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you and your family back to Bali again in the future!

    Amazing experience

We were greeted at our accommodation by our amazing guide Vito. From the moment we met him it was a great vibe. He was very polite, friendly and funny. When we got to the Bee Farm, we were met by a lovely family and were showed around and gave us some very informative information regarding their hives. Overall the day was a great day and would highly recommend going.

Response from the operator: Hi Philiciq Thank you for your glowing review. We’re delighted to hear that you had great experience with us and that vito made a positive impact with his stories and insight. It’s wonderful for our team to know that you enjoyed the overall experience. We truly appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming back for more exciting and unforgettable adventures in Bali

Stingless Bee Honey Farm and Beekeeping Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.

How much does Stingless Bee Honey Farm and Beekeeping Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Stingless Bee Honey Farm and Beekeeping Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Stingless Bee Honey Farm and Beekeeping Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Stingless Bee Honey Farm and Beekeeping Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Stingless Bee Honey Farm and Beekeeping Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Stingless Bee Honey Farm and Beekeeping Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Stingless Bee Honey Farm and Beekeeping Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
