Birding Endemics & Deset Specialties combo B1AD
Maria is very knowledgeable and we saw nearly 40 species of birds, including 3 endemics. The tour also included a wonderful meal at a local restaurant where the food was truly authentic and delicious. I will definitely tour with her again if we return to Los Cabos.

Birding and Whale shark tours with Birding Los Cabos, Mexico
Our trips with Maria Elena were exceptional. We went on both the Birding Pelagic trip and one day, Birding in the Sierra la Laguna Biosphere Reserve. If you are looking for an experienced local guide and personal attention that is only possible with a small group, I would highly recommend signing up for one or more of Birding Los Cabos tours. We were picked up and dropped off at our accommodations and snacks and meals were provided. It was very easy to book with them and Jose was prompt at addressing all of our questions and logistics prior to the tour. In addition to Birding trips, they also offer Natural History, Multi-Day travel and Cultural/Rural/Art tours. We also booked a whale shark tour with Birding Los Cabos. Ivan was our guide on this trip and provided transportation from our accommodations to La Paz and back. He also had fascinating stories to tell about the other water based tours he leads. It was a top notch day. When we return to Los Cabos in the future, we will definitely book with them again. 2 people on our Sierra la Laguna tour were repeat customers and had done multi-day trips with Maria Elena. They said their Copper Canyon trip had been excellent.

Sierra La Laguna Day Trip BS1 - Excellent!
I booked this trip which requires a minimum of two people, but went solo and paid for two. This trip was amazing and exceeded my expectations for a number of reasons, and I would highly recommend it to prospective birders who are visiting the Los Cabos area. Here are some of those reasons: 1) My guides--Maria Elena and Joanne--were both very knowledgable about the local birds, history, and culture. They are both bilingual and were willing to be patient with me as I attempted to use my Spanish. I learned a lot from them NOT ONLY about birds, but about Spanish language, the history of the Baja peninsula, as well as Mexican history and culture in general. 2) I saw or had the chance to see all of the birds I wanted to see. Highlights included the Acorn Woodpecker, the San Lucas Robin, Baird's Junco, the Crested Caracara, several warblers, the Zone-tailed Hawk, the California Scrub Jay, the Lark Sparrow, multiple flycatchers, Xanthus's and Costa's Hummingbirds, and many others. 3) I had my own binoculars, but they have some if you do not. In addition, they not only had a good birding scope to use, but they lugged it around while we were actively birding and set up the scope so that I never had to fiddle with it. 4) THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. Getting away from the world of touristy resorts was such a treat. I felt like I was really in Mexico when I was on this tour. I was definitely not looking forward to the food component of this tour and even brought some of my own snacks, but they provided me with bottled drinking water and delicious and ample food and snacks. This tour provides a full breakfast and lunch. 5) I don't want to reveal any of the secrets of the tour, but I will say that we met three local rancheros in the mountains. These locals were incredibly generous with their time, their wisdom, and their willingness to make us feel welcome. This is a key reason to book with BIRDING LOS CABOS, as I never would have had access to these areas on my own. To be clear, I perhaps NEVER would have seen Baird's Junco without being able to safely and legally go onto private ranch property on this tour. On one of the ranches, our primary purpose was to eat lunch. Again, i do not want to reveal any secrets, but the ranchera who hosted us was extremely kind and generous and offered us tortillas, hecho a mano! I've never had better tortillas in my life. There were a few other secrets, but I will leave them to be discovered for those who book. 6) The best thing about this tour is that I genuinely felt like I was supporting actual Mexicans who truly care about the birds, the environment, the local economy, etc. They are not part of a mega, uber-corporate money-making machine. They actually care about Mexico, Mexican people, and the beautiful cultural and ecological heritage of the Baja peninsula. I felt good about spending my money here, and you will too. In short, I strongly recommend booking with Birding Los Cabos. You will not regret it!

Beautiful birding
My husband and I enjoyed 2 different tours on 2 different days with Birding Los Cabos. We thoroughly enjoyed the professionalism of the team and their knowledge of the natural and cultural history of the Baja California Sur. They were great communicators via email as we booked our day birding trips in November from Canada. They were punctual and the travel van was clean and stocked with bottled of water and snacks when they picked us up at our hotel both mornings. Our birding was exceptional! We saw most of the endemics and many other fantastic birds. One trip covered the estuary in San Joe del Cabo as well as Todo Santos and El Pescadora regions, with a stop for breakfast at a great local restaurant. The 2nd tour took us into the Sierra La Laguna to 1300m. It was peaceful and serene with more great birds plus a stop for lunch at a lovely rancho. Thank you Birding Los Cabos. We appreciate all you are doing to bring awareness of the natural world to visitors to Mexico. Keep up the great conservation work!

Astronomy at your Fingertips
My boyfriend and I are big nature and astronomy lovers, and this stargazing trip was the perfect getaway from the sterile/unnatural ecosystem that is resort life. Our guide was one of the founders of the company, and she picked us up right on time right in front of our resort. Before the stargazing trip, our guide took us to La Pizza Nostra for our included dinner. We each had a large serving of an amazing garlic alfredo pasta in addition to an entire pizza for the table. The food was wonderful and the beers were ice cold. (Tips for dinner are not included, but are well earned!) We drove another 20-30 minutes out to the dark site where there was a high-powered telescope, set up by another guide, waiting for us all. We had about a full hour of stargazing, including planets, moon, nebulae, and various constellations. (Not to mention a meteor or two!) Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and a great storyteller. We truly appreciated her perspective on everything on this trip. From her local knowledge (her family has been in Cabo) and environmental background in turtle and other wildlife conservation; the importance of taking us to a local, small business (even though it wasn't "traditional" Mexican food); to waxing poetic on the wonder of the universe and our place in it. This trip was worth every cent, and we would highly recommend it!

Stargazing tour in Los Cabos: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.
How much does Stargazing tour in Los Cabos cost?
+
Prices start at $220 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Stargazing tour in Los Cabos take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.
Is Stargazing tour in Los Cabos worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Stargazing tour in Los Cabos?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Stargazing tour in Los Cabos suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Stargazing tour in Los Cabos?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Stargazing tour in Los Cabos start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?
+
On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Los Cabos?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
