    About this experience

You would cook with famous Chef and with his assistance will prepare delicious dishes that will be served accompanied with Croatian wines. Usually we would prepare 5 different dishes based on fish, shells and shrimps (this we could skip and make another fish dish), local vegetables, fruits and spices (home made bread, carpaccio, risotto, home made pasta, gregada, fish stew, …) Basically we do all fish and local fruits and vegetables, but could include meat and / or ingredients or dishes that you prefer. Dalmatian dessert will also be prepared, all the recipes you can repeat at home :)

    Great cooking class

Great cooking class. Peter was a wonderful instructor. We made baked branzino, sea bass carpaccio, shrimp risotto, green beans and potatoes, grilled eggplant and a delicious Croatian dessert. The class was a great combination of cooking techniques, Croatian cuisine and history. We completely enjoyed it and learned a lot.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! We're delighted you enjoyed the class and that Peter made your experience so memorable. It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed the combination of Croatian cuisine, cooking techniques, and local history. We hope you'll recreate some of the recipes at home and think of Split whenever you do.

    Delicious and fun cooking class

Our family did the Split cooking class in May 2026 - what a great experience! They worked with us on dishes and ingredients (one vegetarian and 3 non-vegetarians), used incredibly fresh ingredients and had a delicious meal at the end. Enjoy the local liqueur as well!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We're so happy your family enjoyed the cooking class and that everyone, including the vegetarian in your group, could fully enjoy the experience. Fresh local ingredients are at the heart of what we do, and we're glad you loved the meal (and the local liqueur too!). We hope to welcome you back to Split for another culinary adventure. Dobar tek!

    Delightful Croatian Cuisine

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Split Cooking Class. We learned so much about cooking Croatian cuisine. Our instructor was darling and so accomplished. The food and wine were delicious! Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you, it was great having you at our Academy. We are glad you had a great time with us, just as we had a great time with you!

    Honeymoon cooking

Me and my wife were visiting Croatia on our honeymoon we love cooking and decided it would be fun to try! The overall cost was well worth it as it was 4-5 hours all you can eat and drink as long as you cook it! The other couples we were with were so much fun, but the real stars were the chefs with us, not only did they explain all of the steps and flavors! They added history alongside the cuisine! 10/10 would do again!

Response from the operator: Dear Simon, Thank you for your nice comment. We are most happy when you have a great time with our Chefs. We are glad that we were able to make your honeymoon at least a little better. Enjoy the rest of your trip, Best regards

Split Cooking Class - Afternoon Edition Shared Activity: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.

How much does Split Cooking Class - Afternoon Edition Shared Activity cost?

    +

Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Split Cooking Class - Afternoon Edition Shared Activity take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.

Is Split Cooking Class - Afternoon Edition Shared Activity worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Split Cooking Class - Afternoon Edition Shared Activity?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Split Cooking Class - Afternoon Edition Shared Activity suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Split Cooking Class - Afternoon Edition Shared Activity?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Split Cooking Class - Afternoon Edition Shared Activity start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Split?

    +

On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Split?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Split?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
