    Great as always

Our tour was with Rachel and she was great. I have done the tour before but was here with friends who wanted to try it. Her stories were great and knowledge was even better. I have recommended this and late nignt tour before and as always it didnt disappoint. Only suggestion would be it would be nice to offer a combo package like the late night tour.

    Jennie Wade

Rick was a great tour guide. He was very informative about everything. Never did a ghost tour before and after doing I'll do the orphanage next time. Loved it all. My boyfriend loved it too.

Response from the operator: Thank you! Your review means a lot since this was your first ghost tour! We are happy to hear that you both enjoyed it. See you at the Orphanage!

Don’t do the ghost tour, not worth it.

I enjoyed visiting the house, but……..This was a nighttime ghost tour. It was kind of a joke, but then maybe it was just our tour guide. She seemed to recite a memorized script talking really fast. Seemed a little uninterested in what she was talking about. Never any lights on, except a small dimly lit LED lantern. Could really see a whole lot in the house itself.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed visiting the Jennie Wade House, but sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your tour. If you return to Gettysburg, we will be happy to offer you a complimentary tour of your choice.

    AWESOME EXPERIANCE

My wife and I went on the Jennie Wade Ghostly Encounter tour September 16th, Rachel was phenomenal !!! My wife had a small encounter with what we are presuming was " Billy ", an orphan know to hide in one of the bedrooms, she said someone touched her on the side while the guide was speaking. There was also some creaking of floor boards in a room where no one was. Another lady on the tour said something touched her hair, possibly Jennies father in the basement. Finally, I had my camera set on multiple exposures, in one of the rooms, it would only take one picture and stop. Rachel told us all about the ghosts that live in the house and mixed in a small amount of history also. It really is a tragic story and the stand in the house where it happened was actually saddening. Highly recommended !!!!!!

    Great Tour and Tour Guide

Had a great experience on our tour. We had a handicapped person with us and would like to give a special shout out to our guide GEORGE for his help, care and consideration he provided to us so that the person was about to tour the house with us. Thank you so much for your patience. Great history of the house and loved the personal talk at the end.

Spirits Speak Jennie Wade: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gettysburg.

How much does Spirits Speak Jennie Wade cost?

    +

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gettysburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Spirits Speak Jennie Wade take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gettysburg is not rushed.

Is Spirits Speak Jennie Wade worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Gettysburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Spirits Speak Jennie Wade?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Spirits Speak Jennie Wade suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Spirits Speak Jennie Wade?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gettysburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gettysburg and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Spirits Speak Jennie Wade start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gettysburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Gettysburg?

    +

Gettysburg is a guide town: licensed battlefield guides in your own car, bus and horseback battlefield tours, ghost lantern walks and museum entries covering the three-day battle. On Outty we rank every Gettysburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2-Hour Gettysburg Battlefield Guided History Bus Tour with a National Park Guide, Spirits of Jennie Wade Ghost Night Tour in Gettysburg, Echoes of War All Ages Ghost Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Gettysburg?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Gettysburg?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
