Fun, but subpar
The only reason this tour even got two stars is that the guide was very friendly. We bought the tickets under the presumption that we would each get a boat. There is no clear pricing in this tour which specifies shared boat or single boat. So when we arrived, the manager told us we must share a single boat or pay nearly $100 extra. This was despite them having many other boats available. Furthermore, the tour guide was very nice, but he kept asking us repeatedly (as we were getting our bags) for a large tip. This is despite already saying we would in fact tip him! It’s like if you go to a restaurant and your waiter walks up to your table and tells you to tip him well. You’d feel a bit off, it breaks some professional boundaries. Overall, this was just poor communication on the tour organizer’s part and would not recommend this company to others.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding the type of boat, as we understand how important it is to have clear information at the time of booking. We truly appreciate your feedback and will review the tour description to ensure this detail is clearly communicated for future travelers. We also appreciate you highlighting the friendliness of your guide; however, we are sorry to hear that the situation regarding tipping felt uncomfortable. This does not reflect the standard of service we aim to provide, and we will address this with our team to prevent it from happening again. We truly value your feedback, as it helps us improve both our communication and overall experience. We remain at your disposal and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future. Kind regards.

This was our 3rd and favorite excursion! It was short but super fun and the snorkeling was AMAZING!!!! We would do this again and our guide was THE BEST!

No fear of water
I am very afraid of water and I only dared to use the snorkel because the guide gave me the confidence to do so, they are extremely friendly and accompanied me at all times. I never thought I would enjoy it so much. I would definitely take this tour again and recommend it to everyone.

A day in the jungle
I went with my girlfriend to take a few days off. The jungle is impressive, the activities are fun and the food is truly delicious.

Fun Experience -Pricing extra $45
Noelle was the best - this is a fun activity. The speedboat was so much fun - snorkelling and driving the speedboat in the mash/jungle was amazing - so beautiful out there. Con -The only negative is the price advertised here isn’t the final price be sure to have an extra $45 on you which is not listed in advertising! The lack of pricing transparency is not great especially as it’s only communicated post booking The activity is fun and would be worth the price if it was listed correctly! While this would have had a higher rating due it being fun - I give it 3 stars due to lack of pricing transparency

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
SpeedBoat Shared Jungle Tour + Snorkel Experience in Cancun: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does SpeedBoat Shared Jungle Tour + Snorkel Experience in Cancun cost?
+
Prices start at $54 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does SpeedBoat Shared Jungle Tour + Snorkel Experience in Cancun take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is SpeedBoat Shared Jungle Tour + Snorkel Experience in Cancun worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule SpeedBoat Shared Jungle Tour + Snorkel Experience in Cancun?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is SpeedBoat Shared Jungle Tour + Snorkel Experience in Cancun suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book SpeedBoat Shared Jungle Tour + Snorkel Experience in Cancun?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does SpeedBoat Shared Jungle Tour + Snorkel Experience in Cancun start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
