It was amazing, or of the world.
We did the stargazing tour with CE, and he was absolutely amazing! He’s one of the best guides for stargazing. He had a telescope, and we got a great look at the moon. We also saw the Milky Way, and he shared so many interesting facts about the stars and how they’ve been used for navigation. It was such a wonderful experience!

An Unforgettable Night in Rocky Mountain National Park
This was one of the highlights of our time in Estes Park. The tour lasted until after 11:30 PM and included multiple stops throughout Rocky Mountain National Park, carefully chosen for the best views of the sunset and night sky. We watched the sunset over the mountains, saw a large herd of elk, and as darkness settled in, the stars became incredible. Seeing the Milky Way stretched across the sky was something we will not forget. Our guide, C.E., was a treasure. His astronomy knowledge was impressive, but just as important was the warmth and enthusiasm with which he shared it. He was engaging, patient and happy to answer questions. He even spent time helping us adjust our iPhone settings so we could photograph the stars. It was a late night, but completely worth it. The combination of the sunset, wildlife, stars and C.E.’s knowledge made this a very special experience.

The best thing to do outside at night in Colorado!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Honestly one of the best evenings I’ve had since moving to Colorado. CE took me up into Rocky Mountain National Park right as the sun was going down and the timing was perfect — we caught Longs Peak lit up in that golden hour light that you can’t plan for but he somehow did. He had great music going on the key parts of drive which just set the vibe. What surprised me was how much I actually learned. CE broke down how glaciers shaped different parts of the park and made it fascinating, not dry. Then after dark he pulled out a telescope and spent real time walking me through what we were looking at in the night sky. I wasn’t expecting the astronomy piece at all and it ended up being my favorite part. CE is just a genuinely great guy. Super friendly, easygoing, clearly loves what he does. You can tell he’s not just running a tour — he actually cares that you have an incredible experience. I’d recommend Wild Side 4x4 to anyone visiting Estes Park or anyone local who wants to see the park in a totally different way.
Response from the operator: We are so glad you had such a great tour with CE, he's a gem and we're proud of him and the whole team that makes the Wildside experience unforgettable! Thanks for choosing Wildside and we hope to see you back soon to try another tour.

Would travel across the planet for the Wild Nights in the Rockies Astronomy experience!!!
We went on the “Wild Nights in the Rockies” experience with CE and had the GREATEST time!!! We began with a golden hour tour of the park where we saw animals and learned so much about the incredible views. At nightfall CE, our wonderful guide set us all up with red-light headlamps and he assembled a professional telescope! It was a clear night and we could clearly see all the constellations, we got a close up of Venus and her moons! It was an absolutely magical experience and something we can’t wait to do every year! Everyone at the Wildside tours was so kind and welcoming, we truly had the absolute most wonderful time and can’t recommend this highly enough enough!
Response from the operator: Kelly, We're so proud of CE and our whole team. But when we read a review like you just gave us we cant help but smile. The 'Nighfall in the Rockies Tour" is brand new and it sounds like we're on the right track! Thank you for choosing Wildside and we hope you'll come back soon...and help us spread the word : ) Sincerely, Jon/WS

Special Event Sunset Stargazing Tour w/ World Renowned Astronomer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Estes Park.
How much does Special Event Sunset Stargazing Tour w/ World Renowned Astronomer cost?
+
Prices start at $210 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Estes Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Special Event Sunset Stargazing Tour w/ World Renowned Astronomer take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Estes Park is not rushed.
Is Special Event Sunset Stargazing Tour w/ World Renowned Astronomer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Estes Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Special Event Sunset Stargazing Tour w/ World Renowned Astronomer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Special Event Sunset Stargazing Tour w/ World Renowned Astronomer suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Special Event Sunset Stargazing Tour w/ World Renowned Astronomer?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Estes Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Estes Park and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Special Event Sunset Stargazing Tour w/ World Renowned Astronomer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Estes Park within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Estes Park?
+
Estes Park is the eastern gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park: guided Trail Ridge Road tours, wildlife and elk safaris, rafting, horseback rides and Stanley Hotel ghost tours. On Outty we rank every Estes Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Retractable Glass Top Tours of RMNP by Purple Points Tour Company, Top of the World Tour (Wildside 4x4 Tours), The Rocky Mountain National Park Safari Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Estes Park?
+
June to September for full park access, September for the elk rut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Estes Park?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
