    Dinner Food Tour

We had a great late afternoon tour with Caeli. She pointed out historical things to us as we walked to our destinations. We were able to try fried green tomatoes, calamari, she crab soup, shrimp and grits, and ice cream. All was delicious! It was a great way to learn about the local cuisine.

Response from the operator: What a delicious way to spend an afternoon in Savannah! We're so glad Caeli made the walk between stops just as interesting as the tastings themselves. From she-crab soup to shrimp and grits, it sounds like you got a wonderful taste of the city's local flavors! Great tour and tour guide!

We had so much fun with our tour guide, Cathy. She was very knowledgeable on Savannah's history but also kept it entertaining. The temperature was over 100 that day and she did a good job at keeping us hydrated and in the shade. The food was amazing, of course. I would highly recommend this tour and Cathy.

Response from the operator: We're so glad you had such a great time with Cathy! Even in the summer heat, it sounds like she made sure everyone stayed comfortable while sharing Savannah's fascinating history with plenty of fun along the way. We're thrilled you loved the food, and we'll be sure to pass along your kind words. Thank you for your recommendation! Great tour and delicious food

We were so pleased to tour with Caeli and it was amazing that we had a private tour. Caeli is passionate about her tours and we learned a lot about Savannah history and SCAD. Our food stops were great- a drink at a pub, excellent she- crab soup, bread, fried green tomatoes and calamari ( we are not oyster fans so she substituted that for us ), delicious shrimp and grits and ice cream to top it all off ( and fill in the cracks)! We had a great time and do recommend this tour and Caeli.

Response from the operator: It sounds like you had a truly memorable day in Savannah! We're delighted Caeli's passion for the city's history and SCAD made the experience so engaging, and we're glad we could accommodate your food preferences so you didn't miss out on a delicious meal. Thank you for your thoughtful recommendation, and we'll be sure to share your kind words with Caeli! Southern Traditions Food Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Savannah.

How much does Southern Traditions Food Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $135 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Savannah usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Southern Traditions Food Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Savannah is not rushed.

Is Southern Traditions Food Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 106 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Savannah, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Southern Traditions Food Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Southern Traditions Food Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Southern Traditions Food Tour?

    +

Around 37 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Savannah can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Savannah and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Southern Traditions Food Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Savannah within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Savannah?

    +

Savannah is a walking city with a dense guide market, which means quality spread is wide. Historic district walks, Bonaventure Cemetery trips, trolley hop-on routes and ghost tours with tavern access make up most bookings. Outty Ranking leans on licensed-guide status and group size, since the squares get loud once a tour passes twenty people. On Outty we rank every Savannah experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bonaventure Cemetery Walking Tour with Transportation, Historic Savannah Guided Walking Tour, Haunted Savannah Booze and Boos Ghost Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Savannah?

    +

March to May for azaleas, or October to November for cool evenings. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Savannah?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Southern Traditions Food Tour?

    +

Included: Southern dinner eaten across different Savannah staples; 1 alcoholic drink included in price (non alcoholic available to non-drinkers); and Narrated historical & architectural information. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Where is the meeting point for Southern Traditions Food Tour?

    +

Please meet us at Madison Square in historic Savannah and look for the tour guide in orange and "Flavors Food Tours" logo on their shirt or jacket. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.

What languages is Southern Traditions Food Tour offered in?

    +

It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Southern Traditions Food Tour?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

What happens to Southern Traditions Food Tour if the weather is bad?

    +

It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Savannah. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.
