What you'll see and do
Montmartre
While the Heart of the City rests on the Isle de Cité, The Soul of the City is alive in Montmartre. We will start at the Moulin Rouge, hearing the tales behind the red windmill. Then we will begin our winding path thru the charming neighborhood. Second stop as we being the climb is at Cafe des 2 Moulin the host to our favorite french heroine Amélie. We will walk the main drag on our way up to the artist studios of Picasso and others. After passing the most famously photographed streets in the area we will see the Clos Montmartre, the only vineyard in Paris. Can't help but pass La Maison Rose famously painted by Utrillo and in the same location for over 100 years. We enter the Montmartre Village to see artists in action and maybe even get a character or painting. We will leave the village to pass the love locks that lead to Sacre Coeur where we will enjoy the view. Along the way we will hear tales of Dalida and St. Denis in this village that Parisians and guest both love.

Paris 2026!
I wanted this trip to be special and perfect in every way for my granddaughter's first time in Paris. Allison helped me accomplish this with the itinerary planning, the tours and the restaurant recommendations. We were able to breeze through our days because of the Trip Plans app she loaded everything into for us. It had dates, tickets for our tours, restaurant reservations that were booked, links to attractions and restaurants we might like, really helpful information about taxis, tipping, and background information for various monuments, etc. She also set up a private driver for us to get the airport on the day of our return. Our flight was early in the morning and I was very concerned about reliable transportation. Her driver was communicative, on time, and got us to the airport with plenty of time for check in and security procedures. Thank you, Allison, for making this a very special gift for my granddaughter.”
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful review! It was truly an honor to help plan such a special trip for your granddaughter's first visit to Paris. Knowing that everything came together smoothly and allowed you both to simply enjoy your time together is the greatest compliment I could receive. I'm so happy the itinerary, recommendations, and transportation helped make the experience stress-free. Thank you for trusting me with such a meaningful gift. I hope this was just the first of many wonderful memories in Paris for both of you, and I'd love to welcome you back someday!

The Perfect Guide for History and Food Lovers
Our time with Allison was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Her knowledge of the local history was incredible—she brought the area to life with fascinating stories and insights that we never would have discovered on our own. Every stop had a story, and she explained things in such an engaging and easy-to-understand way that it made the experience feel much richer. She also gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations that turned out to be some of the best meals we had during our visit. It was clear she really knows the local food scene and takes pride in sharing the best spots with her guests. And the pastry finds were absolutely amazing! She introduced us to bakeries and treats we likely would have walked right past, and each one was better than the last. If you love learning about the history of a place while also discovering incredible food along the way, you couldn’t ask for a better guide. We’re so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Allison to anyone looking for a thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely wonderful guide.
Response from the operator: You're so kind to share such a lovely, thoughtful review. It's people like you that really make me thankful for the chance I have to do what I love. Milles Mercis!

Great guided walk through Montmartre
While Paris isn’t the most difficult city to navigate, it is impossible for a tourist to appreciate the subtle history of the various sites and sounds of the city without some assistance. Our guide Hortense provided just the right amount of insight necessary to fully appreciate the Montmartre area. She met us at our apartment and helped us navigate the metro, while also getting an understanding of what we were interested in seeing and doing. There is no way we could’ve appreciated this part of Paris without her assistance. she was friendly and engaging and really enhanced the visit to this area.
Response from the operator: Merci for your kind words about Hortense! She's such an asset to us. A real Parisian adds so much depth to the experience. Hoping you'll be back for more tours and adventures soon. Merci

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Soul of the City: Montmartre Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.
How much does Soul of the City: Montmartre Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $299 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Soul of the City: Montmartre Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.
Is Soul of the City: Montmartre Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Soul of the City: Montmartre Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Soul of the City: Montmartre Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Soul of the City: Montmartre Private Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Soul of the City: Montmartre Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Paris?
+
Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Paris?
+
April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Paris?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
