Our Experience: An Enjoyable but Average Ride

The tour itself was great, and the location was beautiful, although there was less snow than expected. The guide explained the rules, provided the proper gear, and we set off on about a 30-minute ride one way (roughly an hour round trip if you keep a steady pace). Because of the limited snow, it was a bit tricky at the beginning navigating through vegetation, but it improved as we continued. That said, I’m giving 3 stars instead of 5 for the following reasons: 1. We were a group of four couples, and two of those couples were Spanish speakers. The guide was constantly engaged with them, almost to the point of ignoring the rest of us. He would only come to us to ask if we want pics and to give us some juice and cookies. Instead of sharing information about the locations we were exploring or keeping the whole group involved - especially at key points like uphill stops - he focused his attention on them. It honestly felt disrespectful and unprofessional. As a guide, you should communicate in a way that includes everyone, not just a part of the group. We ended up standing around with no context, taking pictures on our own because nothing was being explained to us. 2. When we were getting our gear, we were asked to sign a liability contract, which is completely understandable. However, the contract was only available in French and Spanish. While the guide did explain it verbally, it’s simply not acceptable that there were no English copies available at all, especially when they knew they have a tour to operate! We basically had no choice but to sign a document we couldn’t read or fully understand, which is a serious issue. Based on this experience, would I choose this company again for other activities? Absolutely not.

Very safe, controlled experience to snowmobile in the Finnish forest. Would be better if we all get one snowmobile each!

SNOWMOBILE TOUR WITH A VERY GOOD TOUR LEADER

I have made a tour with the Lapland Agency March 2026. The tour consisted of a trip with the snowmobile through the amazing artic nature of Rovaniemi. The tour was managed by the tour leader Alessia, which explained us very precisely the rules we had to follow when driving our snowmobile through the nature and leaded the group tour, giving us signals on when to run and stop. We were very lucky to have Alessia as a tour leader, as she did not limit to explaining us the rules and leading the group, but also was very good at creating a good social atmosphere between all the people in the group. Beyond this, the tour is very good if what your are looking for is to see an amazing landscape while trying the experience of driving a snowmobile .

Snowmobile Safari to Arctic Nature: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.

How much does Snowmobile Safari to Arctic Nature cost?

    +

Prices start at $153 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Snowmobile Safari to Arctic Nature take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.

Is Snowmobile Safari to Arctic Nature worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Snowmobile Safari to Arctic Nature?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Snowmobile Safari to Arctic Nature suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Snowmobile Safari to Arctic Nature?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Snowmobile Safari to Arctic Nature start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
