Exhilarating adventure!
There were only two of us on a 2-hour snowmobile tour, which made it very special and customizable! Lorenzo helped us learn the basics about the machine and guided us well through forests and across frozen lakes and rivers. It was very immersive and exhilarating! We also got to stop at a stunning view halfway for a few pictures and some time playing in the snow.

"Disappointing Snowmobile Experience – Too Strict and Boring!"
We tried the snowmobile experience with them, and I definitely do not recommend it. Our guide, Vera, was extremely strict. They initially told us that once we reached the end of the trail, we would be allowed to go at higher speeds—but when we got there and asked, she refused. The entire activity was incredibly boring because we were moving at a very slow pace (10-25 km/h). At one point, one of the participants waited for the group to move ahead a little and then sped up slightly. Instead of allowing some flexibility, Vera started shouting, refused to continue the trail until he sat in the back, and ultimately banned him from continuing! We honestly felt like we were being treated like kids, and the experience was far from enjoyable. Wouldn’t recommend it at all!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback regarding the snowmobile tour with Wild About Lapland. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. Based on our internal investigation, we would like to address some of the points you mentioned in your review. Snowmobiling is a dangerous activity, and at Wild About Lapland, safety is our top priority. As most of our guests are driving snowmobiles for the first time, the entire tour is designed with a learning curve, allowing guests to familiarize themselves with the snowmobiles. During the tour, we gradually increase the speed based on track conditions and the driving skills of the group. The tours take place on tracks in the middle of the forest, with the guide always leading the group and managing the pace to ensure a safe experience for everyone. Based on our internal investigation, which involved your guide Vero and reports from other staff members, we found that there were issues right from the beginning of the tour. The group was not paying attention to the safety briefing, which had to be stopped several times. We also concluded that one of the guests was not following the guide’s instructions. Due to the guest’s dangerous behavior, the guide issued a warning and offered them the option to continue the tour as a passenger. The guide is responsible for leading the tour and ensuring a safe experience for everyone involved. All decisions made by the guide prioritize safety, and in such matters, we must remain strict and act responsibly. We regret that this incident impacted your overall experience. We take your concerns seriously, which is why we conducted an internal investigation. As a result, we will be implementing more detailed safety instructions for our guests to ensure that everyone enjoys a safe snowmobiling experience. If you would like to discuss the matter further, please do not hesitate to contact us at partners@wildaboutlapland.com. We hope you enjoyed your time in Lapland and look forward to welcoming you back on our tours for a more enjoyable experience. Warm regards, Dominik Wild About Lapland

What an adventure!
We had an incredible time snowmobiling! It was our first time, but our guide, Carlos, made sure we felt completely comfortable. He gave us all the info we needed, explained everything really well, and made sure we were confident before we hit the trails. The ride itself was amazing. The trail had so much variety, every turn brought something new, and the scenery was just breathtaking. We could switch drivers halfway, so we both got a chance to ride. We also took breaks to snap some photos and enjoy a hot drink, which was the perfect way to warm up and take in the surroundings. The mix of adventure and beautiful landscapes made it such a fun and memorable experience
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking your time to write this nice review! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your snowmobile tours with Carlos and the fact that he provided you with such a great and memorable experience! Welcome back on our tours in the future! Warm regards, Dominik Wild About Lapland

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Snowmobile Adventure in Lapland: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.
How much does Snowmobile Adventure in Lapland cost?
+
Prices start at $165 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snowmobile Adventure in Lapland take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.
Is Snowmobile Adventure in Lapland worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snowmobile Adventure in Lapland?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snowmobile Adventure in Lapland suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snowmobile Adventure in Lapland?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snowmobile Adventure in Lapland start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?
+
On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
