Avoid Cabo San Lucas tours
Scammed me for extra $25 because we paid with a credit card at the dock. Cabo San Lucas tours did not offer an option to pay full amount in advance and did not disclose any credit card or exchange rate fees. The balance was supposed to be $88, but la princess’s charged us $113. Otherwise the staff on the boat was great, never had an empty beer.

Spectacular Snorkeling Experience
One of the most enjoyable days I've spent on vacation. We were able to see Orcas and flying manta rays on the water. The captain did a wonderful job steering the boat. The staff was very happy to be with us and did their best to ensure everyone had an enjoyable and memorable trip. They took photos, served drinks, played great music, the entire time respectful and trustworthy. They helped us with snorkel gear and floating gear. They parked the boat in Santa Maria Beach and let is snorkel for 45 minutes. It's was very warm water and they put out bread to attract fish. It was an amazing snorkeling experience. The ride back at this point it's 3pm and the sun is coming down and the homes and resorts on the shores looked spectacular. It was a very relaxing day and I would definitely go again and suggest it to others.

Great excursion on the...
Great excursion on the ocean! Great snorkeling and crew was helpful! Saw all the sights even whales! A fun boat to be on!!

Such a FUN and relaxing time!
We went on this excursion as a group of 4 women. It was honestly so much fun! From the onboard staff, the yummy and constantly flowing drinks, stopping to see whales, the beautiful picture opportunities, the snorkeling and swimming bay area, the music, and the lunch (Guac, Salsa, Chips, Tuna Sandwiches). They went above and beyond to make sure everyone on board was having fun and enjoying themselves. The staff was lively, funny, dancing, refilling drinks, and honestly, such a fun time. Would 100% do this excursion again!

Great experience!
Overall great experience - we saw lots of fish, whales, the arch. Good food, drinks and music. Staff were awesome! The only thing that could make it better is full snorkel gear (only 2/10 group were given one as there wasn’t enough).

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Snorkeling Catamaran Tour at Santa Maria Bay: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.
How much does Snorkeling Catamaran Tour at Santa Maria Bay cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snorkeling Catamaran Tour at Santa Maria Bay take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.
Is Snorkeling Catamaran Tour at Santa Maria Bay worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 114 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling Catamaran Tour at Santa Maria Bay?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snorkeling Catamaran Tour at Santa Maria Bay suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snorkeling Catamaran Tour at Santa Maria Bay?
+
Around 40 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snorkeling Catamaran Tour at Santa Maria Bay start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?
+
On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
