Beware
Beware, This company is not reliable. they confirm your private day tour and cancel it couple weeks prior. Doesnt really matter if it is a private or regular tour. Stay away this company if you dont want your vacation to be ruined.
Response from the operator: Dear Osman, we are sorry that we had to cancel your one-day trip to Snaefellsnes Peninsula and your categorical review. As you rightly pointed out, your trip was canceled well in advance, more than two weeks before your travel date. Therefore, we hope that you have the opportunity to rebook the tour with another local operator. You have not yet arrived in Iceland and have already said that we ruin vacations. We try our best to meet the needs of our clients and provide the best possible private tours. Also, we often receive cancellations from travelers the day before the trip, and this does not mean that clients ruin our work, but we try to be flexible and reliable local tour operators. I hope that you will have a good vacation in Iceland.

Great countryside experience
Sergei is great. You need a good guide for these long tours. A really good taste of Icelandic nature.
Response from the operator: Dear Nicholas, thank you for your kind words about our full-day trip to Sneafellsens Peninsula.

Stunning Snælfellsness
I will be writing a review for each of the activities which we enjoyed with Top Iceland Tours and each one was exceptional. We could not have asked for a better, more helpful, and more considerate guide than Sergei, who leads Top Iceland Tours. As may be true for most of the incredible natural wonders of Iceland, the tour descriptions will give you a good sense of what to expect -- but none prepare you for the stunning reality. If it's not yet clear... we were impressed. Every tour we did was worth the time and energy. What can make or break the experience, however, is the guide. There, we hit the jackpot. Sergei was wonderful. He took such pains to ensure that we were comfortable, that vegan options were available for lunch (two of us were vegan), and that we were getting the experience we wanted. He took care to ensure that we were always safe, escorted us with care if icy patches remained, and offered the voice of experience as to what might or might not work well for our group (some of us were on the upward side of 70). Sergei knows the countryside, he knows the sites, he ensured we got great photo ops (and kindly snapped shots of our group) and he went the extra mile with a smile. As a final note, I'd add that his vehicle was perfect for a private tour for our group of four and his prices made the private option for us as economical as the group tours. What a treat it was to travel with just our group of four and Sergei. Couldn't have asked for more. As for Snælfellsness, it was a long day but we were SO glad we did it. What incredible landscapes, strolls along the sea cliff, visits to ruggedly beautiful beaches and more. Well worth it on every level.

Amazing experience, fantastic guide
Sergei was the perfect guide for our Snaefellsnes tour. He tailored the trip around our traveling style and was very knowledgeable and helpful. We love taking pictures and Sergei knew all the best places and viewpoints. He was also very accommodating at taking pictures of us together which are usually very difficult to get together. I would highly recommend seeing this beautiful area of Iceland and booking it with Sergei.
Response from the operator: Thank you, Bryan, for your feedback and great review. I was pleased to be with your group and help to find the best perspectives for pictures during the day. :)

Excellent, reliable and friendly tour!
We travelled to Iceland in late July 2019 as a family of 11. We booked on to Top Iceland Tour's Western Peninsula, South Coast and Golden Circle Private tours. Our tour guide Sergei went above and beyond to make our trip memorable and truly enjoyable! He was both approachable and extremely down to earth, while his easy going nature made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Sergei's knowledge of the areas we visited was fantastic! He was also flexible and able to accommodate any requests that our group had, in terms of timing and photos! We would highly recommend Sergei and Top Iceland Tours, especially if it's your first trip to Iceland and your traveling with a large family :) Thank you Sergei, from the Patel family!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Private Day Tour from Reykjavik: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Private Day Tour from Reykjavik cost?
+
Prices start at $740 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Private Day Tour from Reykjavik take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Private Day Tour from Reykjavik worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Private Day Tour from Reykjavik?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Private Day Tour from Reykjavik suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Private Day Tour from Reykjavik?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Private Day Tour from Reykjavik start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
