Something a Little Different
Fun and interesting history. Get immersed in the architecture and era of the early 1900s as soon as you enter the building and have an elevator attendant bring you to the top of the building.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're so glad you enjoyed your visit and found the building's historic charm special. As one of Seattle's treasured landmarks, it is an honor to share its rich history with guests from near and far. We hope to see you again soon! Top of the Tower!!
Fabulous evening at Smith Tower! Loved the small displays with information before we were escorted up in one of the original lifts to the top floor. Great, slightly vertiginous, walk around the outside with amazing views before enjoying a drink and some dim sum. Great historical skyscraper!!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed your visit and appreciated the rich history and unique atmosphere of our historic Seattle building. We hope to welcome you back again soon! Cheyenne Haverfield Café and Guest Experience Manager chaverfield@smithtower.com

Great tour that should get bigger billing!
This is a great tour, and as a Seattle resident, I feel like you don’t hear about this one nearly as much as others such as the Underground Tour. But this is a great one - highly recommend it to see very cool architecture, learn city history, and go to a great observation deck and Observatory Bar up on the 35th floor. The tour guide we had (Spencer) was fabulous and we learned a lot and got fantastic views of the city.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Talking Tour experience at Smith Tower. Sharing the rich history, unique stories, and stunning views of this iconic landmark is something we're truly passionate about, and it's wonderful to know that experience resonated with you. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and hope to welcome you back again soon! Cheyenne Haverfield Café and Guest Experience Manager chaverfield@smithtower.com

Spectacular city Views
Seeing the sunset at Smith Tower was a beautiful way to end the day. The light playing off the water surrounded by ferrys and other boats was picture perfect. The menu promoted local distilleries and played of the prohibition era. Ask the elevator attendant about any living US President. He is a bank of knowledge!

Great Guided Tour of a Beautiful Historic Building
My husband and I really enjoyed our guided tour of Smith Tower. The admission fee is worth the extra cost. Spencer's 45 minute guided tour made the building's history come alive. We appreciated his knowledge and easy manner which made the tour of a beautiful building into a memorable experience. One comment, we toured on a weekday afternoon and had no trouble with crowds.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your thoughtful review! Creating engaging, memorable experiences for our guests is at the heart of what we do, so we're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Talking Tour with Spencer. It's always rewarding to know that the stories, history, and atmosphere of Smith Tower helped make your visit special. We appreciate your support and hope to see you again soon! Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Smith Tower Observatory Admission Ticket: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seattle.
How much does Smith Tower Observatory Admission Ticket cost?
+
Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seattle usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Smith Tower Observatory Admission Ticket take?
+
Plan for about 0.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seattle is not rushed.
Is Smith Tower Observatory Admission Ticket worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 153 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seattle, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Smith Tower Observatory Admission Ticket?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Smith Tower Observatory Admission Ticket suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Smith Tower Observatory Admission Ticket?
+
Around 54 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seattle can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seattle and add a light layer if any part of the 0.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Smith Tower Observatory Admission Ticket start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seattle within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Seattle?
+
Seattle's best days leave the city: Mount Rainier, the San Juans, Olympic National Park and Snoqualmie Falls are all day-trip range, and each one lives or dies on the driver-guide. In town, Pike Place food tours, underground history walks and harbour cruises dominate. Our ranking favours operators with small vans over full coaches on the mountain runs. On Outty we rank every Seattle experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mt. Rainier Day Tour from Seattle, Seattle City and Snoqualmie Falls Half-Day Guided Tour, Mt. Rainier National Park Highlights Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Seattle?
+
June to September for clear Rainier views and reliable ferry weather. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Seattle?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
