What you get

    About this experience

We welcome you to our city, Porto. The city where we grew up and live, the city which we relish and cherish, the city we want you to love. With its medieval origins, Porto is a city that endured the passing by of centuries, having lived times of great success and others of great difficulty while keeping its charisma and pride. These qualities were recognized by Queen D. Maria II, that named the city as “Invicta Cidade do Porto”, Porto the Undefeated City. Walk with us through narrow alleys and amazing stairways. Feel the buzz of the old city and the warmth of its inhabitants. Discover hidden viewpoints and embrace the “Tripeiro” spirit. We will stop in nice gardens and go down to the river that offers some of its smoothness to a colorful, tight and chaotic landscape of a historical center that evolved without urban planning and logistical concerns. Come with us and be astounded by this magical place!

    A Great Day in Porto

Raquel was fantastic! You could go feel her passion for Porto and its origins. She was full of information about what we were seeing, but kept it on an overview level to keep it interesting.

A unique Porto journey made special by Anna’s local knowledge and warmth.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an outstanding Porto Secrets Walking Tour with Anna on July 15, and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Porto. From the moment we met Anna, her warm smile, friendly personality, and genuine enthusiasm made us feel welcome. She was exceptionally knowledgeable and brought the city to life with fascinating stories about the Old City, its history, architecture, and culture. What we appreciated most was that she went beyond the typical tourist information and shared unique insider insights, hidden gems, and local perspectives that gave us a deeper appreciation of Porto. Anna customized the experience based on our interests, making the tour feel personal and engaging. The Six Bridges cruise on the Douro River was a wonderful addition. She accompanied us on the 50-minute boat ride and continued sharing interesting information about the bridges, the riverfront, and the history of the area. She also gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit and explore during the rest of our stay. Her knowledge, warmth, patience, and thoughtful approach made the experience truly memorable. We highly recommend Anna to anyone wanting to discover Porto beyond the usual sights and experience the city through the eyes of a passionate and knowledgeable local guide. Thank you, Anna, for making our time in Porto so special!

    Outstanding Tour by Rafaela Detours

Our tour was the majority of the day seeing historical and local landmarks. Our tour guide was from Porto and grew up there. He knew local friends along the route and shared personal stories. He made it feel very authentic. He was absolutely excellent and I would highly recommend him to others. What a memorable adventure!

Small Group Secrets of Porto Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.

How much does Small Group Secrets of Porto Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $41 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Small Group Secrets of Porto Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.

Is Small Group Secrets of Porto Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 63 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Small Group Secrets of Porto Walking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Small Group Secrets of Porto Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Small Group Secrets of Porto Walking Tour?

    +

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Small Group Secrets of Porto Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Porto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Porto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Porto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
