    Food tour by Tuktuk

We enjoyed an incredible and personalized evening of food and drink by Tuktuk with our guide Mon. We visited an amazing Cambodian restaurant with authentic cuisine followed by a tour through a food market. We then enjoyed some street food from a reputable vendor that had been making these traditional savoury crepe like dishes that we ate on the street. Some deep fried insect delicacies were “enjoyed” 😬 on the way to a bar district. Would highly recommend for a great snapshot of Cambodian food life.

Response from the operator: Thanks for your give us a great reviews and recommend this trip to the travelers who come to visit Cambodia or Phnom Penh. We do believe, this is a great part to help us to get more experience, knowledge and more benefits to the locals Thanks again and have a great day

    Great street food tour

This street food tour is great. My guide was really nice and helpful. Food was good and in typical places. I recommend! Great tour with a super friendly guide who adapts to your requests (I was able to taste a tarantula at my request...). Not sick at all. I highly recommend!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE IN PHNOM PHEN !!!!

OMG the best experience in Phnom Phen. Excellent communication regarding pick up, and then cold beer, water or coke in esky for the TukTuk ride. We started with a beautiful rice noodle curry soup dish that was amazing… oh if only I could cook like that at home. Then we visited various street markets learning about the food and the culture in general. I wasn’t very adventurous with my taste buds, (I was too full from the first dish) but the evening was such an experience. Not just the food but learning about the culture and life of Cambodians. My guide was Thung and he is the owner of the company. He has the most amazing story from a really tough childhood through to getting himself out it, studying to setting up and operating this business. Best thing is he is extremely charitable- and gives to others in Cambodia to help them. His assistant for the evening (her name was hard for me to pronounce - but was something like Linda) was so knowledgeable too, and was great with information about the costs of living in Cambodia, food, market stall rent etc (I know this tour was about the food but I loved all the background information). Highly highly recommend and if I wasn’t leaving today, I’d just want to hang out with these people more because they are so welcoming, happy and inspiring. 🙏🙏🙏

Is Small Group Phnom Penh Food Tour and Local Market Experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phnom Penh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book Small Group Phnom Penh Food Tour and Local Market Experience?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phnom Penh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phnom Penh and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Phnom Penh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Phnom Penh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Tuol Sleng S21 and Choeung Ek Killing Field Tour, The Killing Field and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) Tour, Killing field and Toul Sleng genocide museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phnom Penh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phnom Penh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
