    Tour was rescheduled for...

Tour was rescheduled for a later time and they would not provide a refund. Very poor communication and disappointing experience.

Response from the operator: Dear Tiffany, We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. We would however like to clarify that, as indicated in both the “Additional Info” section online and on the booking voucher, the entrance time for the guided visit may be subject to change depending on the Museum’s availability. In these cases, if the originally scheduled slot is not available, the nearest available entrance time is automatically confirmed. Unfortunately, this is entirely dependent on the Museum’s allocation system and is therefore beyond our control. We understand that schedule changes can be inconvenient, but the activity itself was still provided as booked. Warm regards from Florence

    The tour was fabulous and...

The tour was fabulous and our guide was amazing! But, there was most definitely no gelato despite it being in the title …

Response from the operator: Good Morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Cristina, Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are truly delighted to hear that you found the tour fabulous and that your guide made the experience so special, Palazzo Vecchio always holds unique and fascinating stories to discover. Regarding the gelato, it is available at the selected gelateria indicated on your voucher, where you can find all the details to enjoy this sweet Tuscan treat at your convenience. Please remember that our call center is always at your disposal for any assistance or clarification: we are happy to help at any time. We hope to welcome you again soon for more memorable experiences in Florence. Warm regards, Caf Tour & Travel

    Great behind the wall tour

This is a great tour behind the scenes. You also receive a ticket for the museum. Don’t purchase the lunch option if you are going to tour the museum. You won’t have time to get to your lunch time.

    Nice behind the scenes tour

This was an interesting way to see behind the scenes at the Palazzo Vecchio. Our guide was informative and friendly. Your tour meets in the ticket office where you check in and get a ticket then meet your guide. After the tour you have plenty of time to visit the museum. Apparently the lunch or gelato are on your own, but I forgot to get the gelato.

Response from the operator: Good Morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Eileen, Thank you for your kind feedback! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the behind-the-scenes tour of Palazzo Vecchio and found your guide informative and friendly. Next time, don’t miss the gelato, it’s a sweet way to complete your Florentine adventure! We hope to welcome you again soon for more unique experiences in Florence. Ciao from Florence, Caf Tour & Travel

Interesting tour but overpriced and short

The tour was interesting with secret passages and rooms. Guide was very informative. However it was a very short tour and over priced. The secret passage tour lasted less than an hour and we were left to view the museum on our own after that. 45€ for such a short tour is very poor value for money when earlier in my trip I had visited Rome and only paid €66 for a 3hr trip around Colosseum/ Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. In addition instructions as to where to meet weren't clear. Quite disappointed overall with the experience

Response from the operator: Good morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Joanna, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you did not find the tour to offer good value. The experience includes the entrance ticket to Palazzo Vecchio, a small-group guided visit of the Secret Passages with a professional local guide, access to the museum afterwards, as well as a gelato tasting. This tour is generally very appreciated for its exclusive access to areas not normally open to the public. We regret it did not meet your expectations and hope to welcome you on another of our tours in the future to offer you a more satisfying experience. Kind regards

Small-Group Palazzo Vecchio Secret Passages Tour with Lunch Or "Gelato": questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Small-Group Palazzo Vecchio Secret Passages Tour with Lunch Or "Gelato" cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Small-Group Palazzo Vecchio Secret Passages Tour with Lunch Or "Gelato" take?

    +

Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Small-Group Palazzo Vecchio Secret Passages Tour with Lunch Or "Gelato" worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 97 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Small-Group Palazzo Vecchio Secret Passages Tour with Lunch Or "Gelato"?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Small-Group Palazzo Vecchio Secret Passages Tour with Lunch Or "Gelato" suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Small-Group Palazzo Vecchio Secret Passages Tour with Lunch Or "Gelato"?

    +

Around 34 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Small-Group Palazzo Vecchio Secret Passages Tour with Lunch Or "Gelato" start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
