Halona Blowhole
Next we stop at the Halona Blowhole lookout for sweeping views of Oʻahu’s rugged southeast coastline, where lava rock cliffs meet the open Pacific. Depending on ocean conditions, you may see waves surge dramatically through the blowhole, but even on calmer days the contrast of deep blue water, black lava rock, and crashing surf makes this one of the island’s most striking coastal viewpoints. It’s an easy walk from the vehicle with time to take photos, feel the ocean breeze, and take in the scenery before continuing on.

Do this tour at the beginning of your stay.
We had a fantastic day with Tyrone as our guide. There was a small problem with a delayed pick up but after that it was a wonderful tour of the island. The stops were really interesting as was the information Tyrone gave us along the way. The timing of the stops, whether it was a look out, souvenir shop, macadamia farm or beach swim was just the right amount. The lunch purchased was OK - perhaps a stop with a few choices might have been better. Overall, we loved seeing a quick preview of the island and all the suggestions for future places to visit and eat at. It’s great to do this tour at the start of your stay for great ideas for the rest of your time! Highly recommend!

Layo is the best
The Circle Island tour was amazing. We had 10 stops so it didn’t feel like you were cramped in a van the whole time. Our guide Layo was phenomenal. She was so knowledgeable about legends and the island. Mature beyond her years to the point she made me feel like a proud parent and she isn’t my child.

A great experience and totally worth it!
These guys run a great operation. Our guide asked to pick us up at our hotel quite early. At first we thought uggg - too early, but thereby you get an early start on all of the other tour groups. Tyrone (our driver and guide) was right on time and the early start is a great idea. We beat the rush of tour groups to every location, so it was easy in and out. Our guide is an interesting and enthusiastic guide who obviously loves Hawaii and the history. I do not give a lot of 5-start reviews, but Pineapple EXP definitely deserves the rating. Tyrone is meticulously organized and we never waited in a line all day, even at the VERY busy North Shore lunch spot (that was also awesome). We never felt rushed and really had a super day.
Response from the operator: Aloha Lake! Thank you so much for this review! I'm glad that you enjoyed your tour! Let us know when you come back, new tours on the way!

Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Honolulu.
How much does Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Honolulu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore take?
+
Plan for about 9.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Honolulu is not rushed.
Is Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Honolulu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Honolulu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Honolulu and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Honolulu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Honolulu?
+
Honolulu and greater Oahu run on early starts. Pearl Harbor memorial tickets release on a fixed schedule, the North Shore circle-island loop needs a full day, and the catamaran and snorkel runs off Waikiki fill fast in season. We rank on whether the operator secures Pearl Harbor entry themselves and how tight the circle-island itinerary really is. On Outty we rank every Honolulu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: North Shore Tour with Waimea Waterfall, Pearl Harbor City Tour, The Best of Pearl Harbor Full Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Honolulu?
+
April to June and September to November, between the wet season and peak crowds. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Honolulu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore?
+

Does Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 81 listed pickup locations in and around Honolulu. Be ready about 15 minutes before the start time.
What languages is Small-Group Oahu Circle Island Tour: Photos & North Shore offered in?
+
It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

+
