The 7 day Northern NZ tour was very well organised, great accomodation and range of activities offered. Guide Tom was great - very experienced, great food reccomendations and local knowledge. Would reccomend the trip especially to solo travellers. Great value for money.

Wild Kiwi Northern Voyager

I had an amazing experience doing the Northern Voyager Wild Kiwi trip. You know the trip was phenomenal when it felt like I was travelling with my best mates including the tour guide Siobhan, it was perfect!

Response from the operator: You know it’s been a good trip when the group feels like your best mates by the end! Thanks for travelling with us! 💚

Wild kiwi for the win!

As someone who has only done large group tours before this was such a selling point! I did end up on a very quiet tour of three and I was essentially the 3rs wheel but tour guide Tom made such an extra effort to take us around on little walking tours and Forrest walks it was almost like being on a private tour! Will kiwi is organised and professional and the whole thing was a breeze, relaxing and so so fun! Thank you for an amazing week!!

Response from the operator: This is so good to hear. 😊 Small groups really do make for a special experience, and we're so glad Tom helped make the week one to remember. Thanks for choosing to travel with us!

North NZ Winter Tour- Do it!

I did the North Island Tour with Tom as our guide and had a fantastic time! I was hesitant booking my trip over the winter season, but it turned out to be GREAT! The weather did not impact activities, even for water activities (wetsuits provided on cooler days that were thick enough to not feel cold); and the scenery was incredible. Tom was an excellent guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to share interesting information about New Zealand. He took us to some of the best scenic spots for amazing photos and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and activities to enjoy along the way. His local insights really enhanced the experience. I had an unforgettable trip and would highly recommend this tour, especially with Tom as your guide!

Response from the operator: So glad you took the chance on a winter trip! ❄️ Sounds like it paid off. Thanks for the awesome review, and Tom will be chuffed to hear he helped make your adventure so memorable.

Great memories 🫶

I had the best week touring the North Island. No day was the same and there were always plenty of activities to choose from at every location. I was sceptical about group tours before I signed on with Wild Kiwi, yet I finished this week feeling like I had made a new family. Our tour guide Telli was delightful.. great guy 🙌 I would recommend Wild Kiwi tours as a good way to see the best of the north island 👍

Response from the operator: Thank you for the lovely review, Sarah! 😊 We're so pleased to hear you had such a great time exploring the North Island. One of the things we're most proud of is the friendships that form on tour, so it's wonderful to hear you finished the week feeling like you'd found a new family. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to Telli - he'll be stoked to hear them! 🙌 Thanks again for travelling with Wild Kiwi. 🇳🇿

Small Group Northern Voyager 7 Days Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Auckland.

How much does Small Group Northern Voyager 7 Days Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $2312 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Auckland usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Small Group Northern Voyager 7 Days Tour take?

+

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Auckland is not rushed.

Is Small Group Northern Voyager 7 Days Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 62 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Auckland, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Small Group Northern Voyager 7 Days Tour?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Small Group Northern Voyager 7 Days Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 168-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Small Group Northern Voyager 7 Days Tour?

+

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Auckland can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Auckland and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Small Group Northern Voyager 7 Days Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Auckland within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Auckland?

+

On Outty we rank every Auckland experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves Guided Day Trip from Auckland incl lunch, Hobbiton Movie Set Small Group Tour with Cheeky Kiwi Travel, Hobbiton & Waitomo Glowworm Caves Tour with Lunch from Auckland. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Auckland?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Auckland?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
