Worst Excursion ever
Very disappointing excursion. 4 couples and a driver were crammed into a minivan. Driver was not a licensed tour guide. We drove around outside of Kotor with minimal commentary stopped at an island church, which was referenced in the sales info, but was not included. So we each had to pay an additional 10 euros for a boat and entry into the church. Then had to wait another 45 minutes with nothing to do. Got back in the van and drove to ferry to cross the water. Then the driver drove us to a modern area that had been rebuilt and was going drop us off for an hour of high end shop and restaurants. No one wanted to go so we drove back to town. Stopped to take a picture and drove further and the trip was done. I’d like my 4 hours back. A waste of time
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback, though I must clarify that our small group tours are strictly capped at (up to) eight guests with our driver/guide who provides commentary throughout, following the exact itinerary booked, including vibrant Perast, where a quick stroll, a coffee by the bay, or visiting its historic palaces offers plenty to enjoy for 45 minutes beyond the boat ride. We always aim to balance iconic coastal views with modern highlights like Porto Montenegro, and I’m truly sorry this blend didn't align with your personal tastes.

A wonderful tour of Montenegro from a local!
This was of the highlights of our vacation. Vasco was an absolutely terrific tour guide who gave us tons of interesting information about Montenegro beyond the typical tour spiel and was wonderful about answering all of our questions. It was nice to be in a small group for more personalized attention and he was awesome about taking photos for us and making sure we got everything we need. Communication leading up to the tour was also great and easy to find the guides at the designated meetup point. Highly recommend this tour and especially Vasco if you're traveling to Montenegro.

Outstanding tour!
Tour guide was great. (People should know that restrooms are hard to find). Views are outstanding! Tour guide knew his way around traffic holdups. Safe driver. Very knowledgeable and proud of his country. It was a fun trip. Go Gators😂

Good tour, bad price
The tour met us right outside the port but we had to walk a little to get to the van. We then drove the scenic road along the shore. The driver was our guide and he was informative along the way. We stopped at a small village which was used by many for swimming. You could also pay for a boat ride out to the Lady of the Rock which was not included. Further driving and a ferry ride as well as a very short stop at ancient mosaics. We also made a stop to look at a dock of expensive yachts. Finally a drive over the mountains and back to town. Along the way we stopped at a beautiful overlook of the bay. There was not much information shared on the latter half of the ride. The tour was good for the sights but not for information and definitely not worth the price.

Small group Montenegro Tour for Cruise Passengers: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kotor.
How much does Small group Montenegro Tour for Cruise Passengers cost?
+
Prices start at $107 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kotor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small group Montenegro Tour for Cruise Passengers take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kotor is not rushed.
Is Small group Montenegro Tour for Cruise Passengers worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 60 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kotor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small group Montenegro Tour for Cruise Passengers?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small group Montenegro Tour for Cruise Passengers suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Small group Montenegro Tour for Cruise Passengers?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kotor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kotor and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small group Montenegro Tour for Cruise Passengers start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kotor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kotor?
+
On Outty we rank every Kotor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Great Montenegro Tour-Lovcen NP,Mausoleum Lovcen,River of Crnojevic,Sveti Stefan, Kotor Bay Escape: Blue Cave, Beach & Swimming Time, Exclusive Blue Cave Kotor Swim, Mamula&Lady of the Rock 3 Hour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kotor?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kotor?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
