What you'll see and do
Cattedrale Di Como
You will meet your local expert at the meeting point. Let's begin the food adventure!
30 minutes here
Starting from the Cathedral of Como, our food tour begins at the first stop, where we’ll savor a selection of high-quality cured meats, perfectly paired with a glass of local wine, all served in a charming, historic wine shop.
30 minutes here
In Como, locals have a beloved tradition: enjoying pizza by the slice right in the heart of the city! To truly eat like a local, a stop for this delicious, quick pizza is an absolute must.
30 minutes here
As we continue, we will taste one of Como’s most traditional dishes: polenta uncia or polenta with braised meat. A true queen of the table in the Como area and throughout the Alps, polenta is made by cooking a mix of corn and buckwheat flour and served either with tender braised meat or with melted butter and local cheeses, as in the classic polenta uncia. We’ll also try the famous sciatt—crispy, golden pancakes with a gooey, stringy cheese center, a crunchy delight that perfectly complements the heartiness of the polenta.
60 minutes here
Centro Storico
As we conclude the tour, you’ll enjoy a seasonal delight, a warm, velvety zabaione with chestnuts or a refreshing artisanal ice cream, depending on what the moment calls for. Both are served with a rich, aromatic coffee, because in Italy, no meal or food tour is truly complete without a perfectly brewed espresso to finish.

Perfect Evening
This was an exceptional experience. Our guide Elisa could not have been better. Remarkable knowledge, great choices and an incredible ability to make us all feel like family around a table. The food was great but the venue selections even greater, capturing some wonderful aspects of Como. A perfect evening with a one of a kind guide in a beautiful town.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Como.
How much does Small-Group Lake Como Local Food Tour with Wine cost?

Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Como usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small-Group Lake Como Local Food Tour with Wine take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Como is not rushed.
Is Small-Group Lake Como Local Food Tour with Wine worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 296 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Como, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small-Group Lake Como Local Food Tour with Wine?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small-Group Lake Como Local Food Tour with Wine suitable for kids and families?
+

+
Around 104 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Como can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Como and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Lake Como?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lake Como?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lake Como?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
