Excellent service and tour guide
My partner and I had a great time and cannot recommend this day tour enough. Everything was taken care of for us – private transport from and back to our hotel, trains, buses, tickets – and our guide, Julio Cesar, was very passionate and knowledgeable. He provided extensive information in English, took numerous photos for us, and ended the tour with a lovely meal at a Peruvian restaurant in Aguas Calientes. Though the tour was advertised as being for small groups, it ended up being just the two of us, which gave us even more room for questions/discussions, taking pictures, and simply taking our time to enjoy the views. We had a great time and definitely recommend the full day tour for those visiting Cusco who are a bit short on time.

Machu Picchu with Inkayni
Have been in many places of the world and listen to many guides . Most of them are common but Wilbert was by far the most passionate, informed and with a credible answer for any question . He talked in such a way that was easy to follow and understand about the inca culture . Never in too many words and never something boring . And a great photografer too .

We had an incredible time at Machu Picchu. Our guide Wilbur was incredibly informative, fun and a great photographer! Wilbur also guided us through Chinchero, Moray and Maras. We would have never seen so much of Peru in such a short amount of time without Wilbur and Inkayni Tours. Thanks again for an amazing week!
Response from the operator: Dear Customer, It is good to know you enjoyed all the time with the company of our guide Wilbert. Many thanks for your kind words about our company. We hope you can come back soon! Kind regards, INKAYNI PERU TOURS.

Our guide made our experience amazing!!
This was a highlight of our trip to Peru! Our guide for this portion of the trip, Anthony, was by far the most knowledgeable, experienced, and genuinely enjoyable guide we have ever had. His knowledge of history, local life, and nature made the tour an absolutely unforgettable experience. He had amazing story telling skills and was able to customize the trip to meet the desires and abilities of every member of the group. When we come back to Peru, we will be requesting Anthony specifically because we know he will ensure an outstanding trip. Similarly, our driver Rony, did an absolutely amazing job getting us to each destination safely (quite a feat in Peruvian traffic) and we will miss him and his great music. Overall, this expedition was fantastic and we cannot recommend it enough!
Response from the operator: Dear Customer, That's great! It is excellent news for us regarding your experience with our guide Anthony and driver Ronny. Thank you for the trust placed in us. Receive a cordial greeting from Cusco. Kind regards, INKAYNI PERU TOURS.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Small-Group Day Tour to Machu Picchu: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Small-Group Day Tour to Machu Picchu cost?
+
Prices start at $379 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small-Group Day Tour to Machu Picchu take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Small-Group Day Tour to Machu Picchu worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small-Group Day Tour to Machu Picchu?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Small-Group Day Tour to Machu Picchu suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Small-Group Day Tour to Machu Picchu?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small-Group Day Tour to Machu Picchu start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
