Intimate wine experience!
What a wonderful intimate experience! Gabriele was absolutely amazing. He took us to smaller vineyards. We also did the cooking class with them. Honestly the best food we had during our 2 week stay! If you want something more personal, book with Tuscany Uncorked!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this lovely review Mindy! it really means a lot. I’m so happy the day felt the way uou wanted… intimate and personal! That’s exactly what we care about most: smaller places, real people, and experiences that feel truly connected to Tuscany rather than staged. And I love that the cooking class became one of the highlights of your trip. There’s something special about sharing food at the source, with the people who live these traditions every day… simple, honest, and full of warmth. Thank you again for choosing Tuscany Uncorked. If you ever come back, we’ll be ready to cook, taste, and uncork another little piece of Tuscany together.

The best tour
We booked the Chianti Classico Discovery Tour and it was amazing. The day started with meeting our guide and driver, Gabriele. He was so friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. Pickup was a central spot in Florence and the ride was in a comfortable van as a group out to visit 3 wineries. The first winery was Le Cinciole winery. It was a beautiful boutique winery and the host, Alessandro, was so welcoming and polite. He was so passionate about the wine he makes and cares about passing on his knowledge, while sharing the great wines with you. From there we went to Poggio Al Sole, a beautiful hilltop winery where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The last stop was Tenuta Degli Dei. This winery was tucked back in the hills and the experience was led by a very energetic lady. Our tasting was in a small private room and also included some small bites. All places we visited had the options to purchase wine and olive oil, and of course we did. Having Gabriele as our guide and driver took the stress out of navigating and he was fun and willing to share so much information about wine and the region. The drive between each place was beautiful, and the wineries themselves were exactly what you’d picture, but all unique in their own ways. 100% recommend and would probably do it again.
Response from the operator: Alisha, thank you so much for such a detailed review. I’m happy you enjoyed every stop of your Chianti Classico wine tour! That’s exactly what we aim for: three family-run stories, each different, tied together by the landscape and the wine. Thank you again for coming with us, and for bringing home bottles and olive oil to keep Tuscany on the table. We’d love to host you again anytime you come back.

Great choice for wine tour!
This tour was fantastic and tailored specifically to our interests. We own a small winery and wanted more of an educational tour in Italy. All stops were great and we would highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! I’m truly happy to hear the tour felt genuinely tailored to your interests. especially coming from winery owners! It was a pleasure hosting you and diving into the local terroirs, styles, and winemaking choices together. Thank you again for the recommendation, and we’d love to welcome you back to Tuscany anytime with Tuscany Uncorked

Chianti Tour for the Family Trip
Gabriele curated our tour to Tusancy wonderfully. While I was initially worried the wine tour would only be enjoyable for the avid wine drinker, I soon learned that this would not be the case. My entire family could not stop raving about how this experience was our favorite thing we did in Italy. We were brought to the Chianti and Chianti Classico regions for wine, cheese, & olive oil tastings. We satisfied our palates, learned, and laughed a lot. It was the best tour I have ever had in my life. Thank you Gabriele!
Response from the operator: Dear Mihwa, thank you so much for taking the time to share this. We are especially happy to hear that everyone in your family enjoyed the day… even beyond the wine. That balance is exactly what we aim for: great tastings (wine, cheese, and olive oil), real Tuscan culture, and plenty of laughs along the way. It was a pleasure hosting you in Chianti and Chianti Classico, and I’m grateful I could be part of your favorite memory in Italy. I hope to welcome you back to Tuscany in the future.

Awesome tour with great food and wine
Amazing experience with Gabrielle. He was super knowledgeable and so passionate. He has a very clear relationship with all the wineries we visited, which demonstrates his connections in the area. The food (and wine obviously) were amazing. Would 100% recommend and will book again when I return to Italy.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review Rebecca! I’m thrilled the passion, insider connections with the wineries, and the food-and-wine pairings all came through. It was a pleasure hosting you, and I’d be honored to plan another day when you’re back in Italy, whether Chianti Classico again or a new region to explore. Tuscany has so many places to explore. Please say hello to Tommaso if you are visiting his food truck in New Zealand.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Small Group Chianti Wine Tour with a Somm: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Small Group Chianti Wine Tour with a Somm cost?
+
Prices start at $210 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small Group Chianti Wine Tour with a Somm take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Small Group Chianti Wine Tour with a Somm worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small Group Chianti Wine Tour with a Somm?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small Group Chianti Wine Tour with a Somm suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Small Group Chianti Wine Tour with a Somm?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small Group Chianti Wine Tour with a Somm start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
