Great way to eat good & see Florence through a local’s eyes
Such an awesome tour! Ben was so knowledgeable, the food was delicious, the wine was amazing, and there was just enough walking to help you digest between courses

Expectations fully met
I’d opted for the pizza and gelato option, and it completely lived up to my expectations. The atmosphere, the professional kitchen – I was able to ask lots of questions, and at the end we enjoyed a convivial get-together to sample the dishes we’d just learnt to cook. All the recipes are sent to you afterwards as well. The three hours flew by, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Response from the operator: Dear Fernand, thank you for your fantastic review of our Group Pizza & Gelato making lesson! We are delighted to hear it fully met your expectations and you appreciated our fully immersive hands-on approach. We hope to welcome you back soon on another one of our cooking class or food tour experiences! Wishing you a great rest of your stay. The Curious Appetite Team

Food Tour in Florence with teens
This tour was excellent! I highly recommend it. Our group was small and the guide, Christina, was a local who had an incredible amount of knowledge to share. Not only do you get a great food experience with tips on how to find the best places and quality, but she enriched our experience of the city by sharing the history of the city as we went along. One of the best things we did in Florence! I would recommend it to anyone! We had our 13 year old with us as well and there was plenty for her to enjoy along with the adults. Do it!
Response from the operator: WOW!! Thank you for your 5-star review of our Group Food Lover’s tour! We agree this is a great fit for multi-generational groups that is fun and engaging for all ages and a great intro the the city’s main sights while indulging in traditional Florentine & Tuscan bites along the way. We hope you had a nice rest of your travels. Until next time, Buon Appetito :) The Curious Appetite team

Worth it! Do this early in your trip for the local tips and tricks!
This Florence food lovers tour was amazing. Every single stop came with a bite to eat and something to drink. Nothing we had disappointed and we were all excited to try the truffles! Out your guide, Cristina, was extremely knowledgeable about everything even remotely related to Italy even outside of Florence. She was friendly and fun and made everything so easy for us. She even gave us a list of recommendations at the end and made sure we had a business card from every stop so we could return to our favorites throughout the rest of our trip. I would recommend doing this tour within the first day or 2 of your stay so that you can gather information for the rest.
Response from the operator: Grazie MILLE for your feedback on our Private Food Lover’s tour! It was an absolute pleasure to host your group, we agree it is a great way to get the lay of the land your first day so you can gather recs from the guide and explore the main parts of the historic city center. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay and to see you soon! Cristina says Ciao! The Curious Appetite Team

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Small group Expert-led Florence Foodie Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Small group Expert-led Florence Foodie Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small group Expert-led Florence Foodie Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Small group Expert-led Florence Foodie Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 51 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small group Expert-led Florence Foodie Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Small group Expert-led Florence Foodie Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Small group Expert-led Florence Foodie Tour?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small group Expert-led Florence Foodie Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
