An Exceptional and Truly Exclusive Wine Tour
An Exceptional and Truly Exclusive Wine Tour Our experience with Sustainable Wine Tours Santa Barbara was, without doubt, one of the absolute highlights of our holiday. From the moment we were collected in a beautiful Mercedes, everything felt incredibly professional, personal and special. Ours was an exclusive tour of just seven people, which made the whole day feel relaxed and intimate — a world away from the larger, more commercial wine tours. We were invited into three incredible vineyards, ranches and farms, where the experience was made even more memorable by actually meeting the wine growers themselves. Being able to hear first-hand about their vineyards, their passion and the wines they produce gave the whole day such a personal and authentic feel. Each location was completely unique, and every wine grower had their own fascinating story and approach to winemaking. At each stop, we enjoyed an incredibly generous tasting of six wines, and we were also treated to a beautifully prepared packed lunch, which we enjoyed sitting in a vineyard beneath the most stunning trees. It was one of those moments you wish you could bottle up and take home with you! The day finished at a beautiful ranch, where we enjoyed more wonderful wines accompanied by delicious food and chocolate — the perfect ending to an exceptional day. This tour was outstanding on every level: professional, beautifully organised, personal and genuinely luxurious without ever feeling stuffy. If you want to avoid the crowds and experience something far more individual, exclusive and high-end, this is absolutely the tour for you. We cannot recommend Sustainable Wine Tours Santa Barbara highly enough. It was an unforgettable experience and, without question, one of the very best highlights of our entire holiday.

Great Wine Tour!
This was our second tour with Scott and Sustainable Wine tours - hopefully not our last. We visited great wineries, drank delicious wines and learned a lot. Scott does an awesome job as host providing delicious food and snacks as well as getting us everywhere safely. He has created an awesome company.

A fabulous day to remember!
From start to finish our experience was outstanding with Sustainable Wine Tours! Carlos, our guide and driver communicated with us before picking us up at our hotel. He made sure we were all comfortable as we toured 3 separate and very different wineries. Carlos shared information about the area and was knowledgeable and friendly. There were 2 other couples who joined us. We loved tasting the wine and learning about each place from either the winery owner him/herself or the spouse of the owner. We all enjoyed the fresh lunch provided as we sat outside together with a beautiful view of a vineyard. The entire experience was extremely enjoyable and very interesting as we learned some things from each of the winery's representatives. We also joined one of the wine clubs and purchase a few bottles to take home from another. This experience was the highlight of our first trip to Santa Barbara. I highly recommend it!

Lovely afternoon of learning about and loving wine!
We had the best afternoon on our Sustainable Wine Tour. Karina was an energetic, engaging and knowledgeable wine tour guide. Our favorite part was the private experience and meeting with the winemakers themselves. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back again in the future.

This was my second tour with this company, and they did not disappoint! From the booking to the drop-off at the end of the day, everything was smooth and effortless. Scott gave us the most amazing day. Beautiful locations, great wine, delicious lunch...and the attention to detail was unsurpassed! I would recommend Sustainable Wine Tours again and again!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santa Barbara.
How much does Small-Group (8 max) All-Inclusive Santa Barbara Wine Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $235 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santa Barbara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small-Group (8 max) All-Inclusive Santa Barbara Wine Tour take?
+
Plan for about 0 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santa Barbara is not rushed.
Is Small-Group (8 max) All-Inclusive Santa Barbara Wine Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 161 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santa Barbara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small-Group (8 max) All-Inclusive Santa Barbara Wine Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small-Group (8 max) All-Inclusive Santa Barbara Wine Tour suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book Small-Group (8 max) All-Inclusive Santa Barbara Wine Tour?
+
Around 56 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santa Barbara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santa Barbara and add a light layer if any part of the 0-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small-Group (8 max) All-Inclusive Santa Barbara Wine Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santa Barbara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santa Barbara?
+
Santa Barbara runs wine tours into the Santa Ynez Valley, harbour sailing and whale watching, Channel Islands day trips, and Spanish colonial walking tours through the Presidio and Mission. Tasting-room access and group size make the biggest difference in wine tours here. On Outty we rank every Santa Barbara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Santa Barbara Electric Bike Tour, Kayak Tour of Santa Barbara with Experienced Guide, Small-Group Wine Tour in Santa Barbara to Exclusive Vineyards. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santa Barbara?
+
March to June and September to November, dodging the May and June marine layer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santa Barbara?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
