Best guides in La Fortuna
We had an exceptionally engaging and knowledgeable crew for this tour. They were professional, friendly, funny, and on point at every moment. The boat tour was great and we saw a lot of birds and caiman (+ babies) and monkeys. We did spend a little more time on one bird than most of the boat wanted, but it was clear the guides were pretty excited. The food at lunch was great, and the “surprise“ sugar, cane, coffee and chocolate experience was really fun for all. This was the first tour we did on our trip, and we were lucky enough to have an equally engaging guide from the same company for another tour at Mistico. By the end of our 12-day trip, we agreed that while we had great guidance throughout, the ones from this company were absolutely the best.

A memorable riverboat safari
Our tour guide, Abner, made this trip on the Rio Frio a memorable experience. He was both knowledgeable and funny. Our trip started out in the pouring rain but ended up sunny. Be sure to bring raingear! We saw lots of wildlife, including tiger herons, woodstocks, caimans, iguanas, king fishers, howler monkeys, anhinga, capuchin monkeys, yellow crowned herons, sloths red hooded parrots, spider monkeys, bats and other dreatures.

AMAZING TOUR & GUIDE WITH DELICIOUS FOOD!!!
Both the driver, Jorge, and the tour guide Fauricio we’re excellent as well as very knowledgeable in showing us all of the wildlife. They spotted very well hidden wildlife, we got to see various Costa Rican monkeys that are specific to Costa Rica! We also saw sloths, very unique bird life, and many lizards which were very cool! Also, the lunch provided was fresh and very delicious! I would highly recommend people choosing this tour with Canoa Adventura they were simply amazing. It was a truly wonderful experience!

Best thing we did in CR.
We went on the pontoon version of the Canyon Negro tour. Excellent! Faulicio was an ace at spotting birds and wildlife! Best thing we did in Costa Rica!
