A Skopje street food walk covers four tasting stops in about 2 hours 45 minutes, from Farmers' Market Bunjakovec to the bohemian quarter of Debar Maalo. It starts with burek still warm from a neighbourhood bakery coupled with the traditional yoghurt, moves to a kafana table for pepper and aubergine spreads with white cheese, crosses the bohemian quarter of Debar Maalo for some kebapi off the charcoal, then finishes over with centuries old dessert recipes. A local guide with an international background handles the ordering, the translation and the portion sizes, and adjusts the route to appetite and dietary needs. All food is included. An excellent tour. Some interesting food - the white cheese was superb - and Igor was a great guide, happy to answer questions about the food and the city. Lovely walk between stops, through parks and beside the river.

An Introduction to Macedonian Foods
Had a beautiful afternoon with Igor who introduced me to delicious Macedonia cuisine. We stopped at 6 different places and I enjoyed fried dough, meat, cheese, veggies, and a yummy desert. We covered a lot of ground, so be prepared to walk. Igor pointed out some special spots like a beautiful park, the stone bridge, notable statues of historical importance, the farmers market and the old town. I highly recommend this tour!

Great tour - highly recommended!
We had a delightful time with our guide, Igor. We walked around Skopje for several hours, sampling some delicious local food, local drinks and desert. In addition to the food, Igor showed us around several of Skopje’s neighborhoods, including the historic old town, which was amazing - a must see for a first-time visitor. He was quite knowledgeable about the sites and history, and helped us gain a bit of insight into Macedonia’s culture and heritage. More importantly, we had a really good time, having a wide-ranging conversation with Igor, talking about life, learning about his interests, talking about urban design, etc. it was a great afternoon, time well spent, and we’d highly recommend Igor as a guide, whatever the tour.
