    Sisters Seeing Sintra

This is an excellent excursion that includes Sintra, Peña Palace with a bus ride up to the palace and entrance to the exterior of the palace, a stop at the most western point on the European continent, Cascais for a lunch at a place of your choice (on your own), and back to Lisbon. The guide/driver was full of information for us and history. John, our driver was wonder in giving us instructions on where to meet him after every step of our trip. He made it so convenient as far as meeting points. We had no worries in finding our way around with his instructions. It was such a pleasurable day in a very comfortable vehicle.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your detailed and wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Sintra tour from Lisbon, including the visit to Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais. It’s great to know that the experience felt smooth, comfortable, and well-organized throughout the day — that’s exactly what we aim for in our small group tours in Portugal. We’re especially happy to hear your kind words about John. His knowledge, clear instructions, and attention to detail help ensure that our guests can fully relax and enjoy every moment of the tour. Thank you for choosing Recordtours. We hope to welcome you again on another unforgettable Lisbon tour or private experience in Portugal! 🇵🇹

Don't miss this tour! It is excellent.

An outstanding experience. Our guide Navaz was excellent. He was informative but did not overwhelm us with information. We had lots of free time which we enjoyed, and he was always there to meet us when it was time to move on. It was a very warm day and Navaz had lots of cold water for us in his car. The places we went to were very interesting and definitely worth the visit. Although the tour was supposed to be around five and a half hours, Navaz was in no rush and we probably spent more than seven hours on the tour. And to cap it off, Navaz dropped us off at our hotel. We would highly recommend the tour and our guide Navaz.

Private tour with Insta worthy pics

The best tour! My friend and I are from Canada and travelled to Portugal without knowing any Portuguese or much about the country. On the day of our tour, Miguel ended up making it a private tour and helped us around. He was so kind and a great conversationalist. He was very knowledgeable about the history of different attractions and even took pictures for my friend and I! I highly highly recommend :)

Miguel is the best tour guide in Lisbon, Portugal!

Our guided tour with Miguel was wonderful. He took us to Cascais & Sintra in a comfortable Mercedes Benz van. He pointed out out a lot of key landmarks and educated us on the history of Portugal. The weather was wonderful, as well. We highly recommend using Miguel and we would use him again when we come back to Portugal.

    Love Portugal 💜

The tour was wonderful! It rained, but it didn't matter, our tour guide Joao had umbrellas and made the most of our amazing day. He guided us on the best places to eat and see. I HiGHLY recommend the company and our specific guide, so much so, I'm hiring them again for two days to tour with my husband who arrives from the US this week...😊

Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Small Group day trip: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Small Group day trip cost?

    +

Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Small Group day trip take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Small Group day trip worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Small Group day trip?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Small Group day trip suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Small Group day trip?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Small Group day trip start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
