    Don’t Miss This Winery

Silvara rises to the top of the winery scene with its stunning tasting room and grounds, warm and attentive service, and award-winning wines. I’m a frequent visitor and make a point to return every time I’m in Leavenworth. From whites to rosé to reds and sparkling wines, you’re bound to love their amazing selection.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt review. It’s an honor to know that Silvara Cellars has become a place you return to with each visit to Leavenworth. We pour a great deal of care into our wines, our hospitality, and the mountain‑crafted experience we offer, and it means everything to hear that it resonates with you. From crisp whites and rosé to bold reds and sparkling wines, we love creating a portfolio that reflects the beauty of this valley and the spirit of our wine making. We’re grateful for your continued support and can’t wait to welcome you back to the hillside again soon.

Make sure they are aware of your booking.

When we arrived at the location, no one was there and the building was dark. After waiting awhile, a nice employee showed up. She advised the owner was out of town, the person who does the tasting had left, and she/they are not advised who is coming for the tasting. She did offer us a bottle of wine, but considering how much I’d spent on this and it was supposed to be 5 different tastings, I opted to decline the bottle of wine. I’m still waiting to get my money back. Very disappointed. It was not this employees fault. The owner should be on top of this.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We’re truly sorry for the experience you had — it falls far short of the standard we aim to provide. Your visit should have been welcoming, prepared, and fully staffed, and we regret that this was not the case. We appreciate your kindness toward our employee who stepped in, and we agree that the responsibility is ours. We are currently reviewing what happened to ensure this doesn’t occur again, and we’re committed to making it right for you. Our team is processing your refund, and we appreciate your patience. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future so we can provide the warm, memorable tasting experience you should have received.

Great wine and space, but over priced.

The wine is amazing and the space is beautiful. However, for the price, it did not feel like any other regular wine tasting you can get at a wine shop for much cheaper. We ended up getting 6 bottles of wine and the tasting wasn’t waved, where most places will wave a tasting fee with the purchase of over $200 in wine. We would definitely go back to the vineyard, but the ‘tasting’ is way over priced for what you actually get.

Response from the operator: Thank you for visiting and for your kind words about the wine and our tasting room. Our tastings are intentionally designed as a hosted, curated experience in a setting rather than a retail-style sampling, and our pricing reflects that approach. While tasting fees are not automatically waived with bottle purchases, we truly appreciate your support and are glad to hear you’d return. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Leavenworth.

How much does Silvara Cellars Hillside Wine Tasting Experience with a Sommelier cost?

    +

Prices start at $109 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Leavenworth usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Silvara Cellars Hillside Wine Tasting Experience with a Sommelier take?

    +

Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Leavenworth is not rushed.

Is Silvara Cellars Hillside Wine Tasting Experience with a Sommelier worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Leavenworth, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Silvara Cellars Hillside Wine Tasting Experience with a Sommelier?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Silvara Cellars Hillside Wine Tasting Experience with a Sommelier suitable for kids and families?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Leavenworth can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Leavenworth and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

When is the best time to visit Leavenworth?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Leavenworth, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. How many days do you need in Leavenworth?

    +

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
