    The Perfect Phnom Kulen Experience

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience exploring Phnom Kulen with Mr. Thom. He was such a wonderful guide — knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and beauty of the place. What made the experience special was that he never made the tour feel rushed or routine. He took the time to explain the significance of the different sites and made sure I was comfortable throughout the trip. He was also incredibly helpful with photos and knew some great spots to stop and enjoy the scenery. As a solo traveller, I really appreciated having someone so kind, attentive, and reliable with me. Mr. Thom was always prepared with bottles of cool water, wet towels and continuous suply of local snacks for me. Phnom Kulen was one of the highlights of my Cambodia trip, and he played a big part in making it such a memorable experience. Highly recommend Mr. Thom to anyone visiting Phnom Kulen! 🙏🌿

    Great Low Stress Day!

I think if a guest is looking at what to do in Cambodia, this is a great activity to do as a rest or relaxation day AFTER seeing the temples, AFTER seeing the elephants, AFTER seeing the Aspara Dinner Show. I think there are more key experiences to have in Siem Reap than this one, but, I did really like this tour and I had a great guide. I was very thankful for Mr. Tom and his excellent service. Mr. Tom always had cold water available and a cooling towel and even got me his local favorite treat so I could try it. I really enjoyed that and appreciated how prepared he was to make me feel welcome and supported. He also took me to several small temples in the area after the tour which was very kind. I put this tour in my itinerary as a "rest" activity before going to the temples, and I think that was a really good idea. Especially if you are coming from the western hemisphere or even Europe and Africa, this is a great tour to do when you are recovering from jet lag. I really liked the ridge view in Kullen National Park and the waterfall was beautiful and relaxing. I also got to see a reclining Buddha statue, which was a wonderful surprise to me. The heat of Cambodia is definitely something to consider when you are making your plans to come here. I would definitely not do multiple days of being out in the heat all day. This is a great activity to break it up and give your body a break while also seeing the beauty of Siem Reap.

Response from the operator: Dear Erikah, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review of your Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen tour! I am absolutely thrilled to hear that you had a great time and found it to be the perfect "low-stress" day. You make a fantastic point for future travelers about pacing an itinerary—balancing the grand, full-day temple explorations with a relaxing nature day is exactly what we recommend, especially when adjusting to jet lag and the Cambodian heat. It was truly my pleasure to be your guide for the day. I am so glad you felt welcomed and supported, and that you enjoyed the local treats and the extra stops at the smaller, quieter temples. Seeing the beautiful ridge view, the relaxing waterfalls, and the Reclining Buddha are always highlights, and I am honored that I could share those special moments with you. Thank you again for your kind words and for choosing to explore with us. Whenever you decide to return to Cambodia, we would love to welcome you back! Warm regards, Travel to Inspire Team

    Fantastic day trip!

My day trip from Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen was absolutely unforgettable. My guide, Thom, was incredible from start to finish. He arrived exactly on time and was fully prepared for the extreme heat with plenty of cold water and refreshing, cool towels. Throughout the journey, Thom was incredibly considerate, even stopping to buy delicious local snack foods to try along the way.The highlight of the day was swimming in the waterfall. The scenery was stunning, the water was perfectly refreshing, and it truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Seeing the 1000 Lingas carved into the riverbed was also fascinating. If you are visiting Siem Reap, this tour is a must-do. Ask for Thom if you can!

Response from the operator: Dear Daniel, Thank you for the fantastic review! I am so glad you enjoyed the Phnom Kulen tour, from the local snacks to the refreshing swim at the waterfall. Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen: Waterfalls & 1000 Lingas Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen: Waterfalls & 1000 Lingas Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen: Waterfalls & 1000 Lingas Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen: Waterfalls & 1000 Lingas Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen: Waterfalls & 1000 Lingas Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

How far in advance should I book Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen: Waterfalls & 1000 Lingas Tour?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

    +

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
