What you'll see and do
Angkor Doors
Cambodia has a lot of street food vendors dotted around town, but we’ll take you away from the tourists and go to eat where the locals eat. Road 60 is a popular destination for Khmer visitors and there is an abundance of street food available. As a hot and tropical country, many people eat outside and street food is a cheap option for many local Khmer people. Unfortunately, most tourists don’t get to experience the real taste of Cambodia and this is exactly what this tour is all about. We’ll take you to eat the real Cambodian cuisine what the locals like to eat.

Great guide with introduction to Cambodian cuisine.
August was a wonderful guide and showed us around in a Tuk Tuk, driver included. The food was wonderful and we experienced several different venues. August looked after us very well and spoke great English. The fried insects were not unpleasant and the experience enhanced our understanding of Cambodian culture.
Response from the operator: Hi Dear, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a great experience with our services. It's fantastic that you enjoyed the food and the variety of venues. We're glad the Tuk Tuk ride added to your adventure and that you found the fried insects to be an intriguing part of Cambodian culture. Your positive feedback means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back for more unforgettable experiences! Best regards Angkor Doors Team

Samnang was incredible!
We booked this tour and Samnang was our guide. He was so incredible and really made this experience unforgettable. He showed up with a Tuk Tuk at our hotel and we went to a night market that is for locals. We stopped and had Cambodian pancakes, duck eggs and fresh sugar cane juice before moving on to pick up fried crickets, grasshoppers and frogs with local desserts. We stopped at a stall to grab a table and then picked out stuffed bullfrogs and quails to warm up in the bbq. We enjoyed beer with our snacks and everything we tried was so delicious. Samnang shared so much about Cambodia’s culture and history including the city and temples, with his personal life and he was such a joy to spend the evening with. He also reminded us that fried bugs may be a novelty but for many Cambodians during the Khmer Rouge, this is what they had to eat while they starved which puts things into perspective. This was our top activity in Cambodia-if you like good food and opportunities with locals, book the tour!!!
Response from the operator: Dear Chelsea, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had an unforgettable experience with Samnang as your guide. It's great to know that you enjoyed the local night market and all the unique food offerings, from Cambodian pancakes to fried crickets. Samnang's insights into Cambodia's culture and history truly enrich the experience, and we appreciate you highlighting the deeper context behind the food. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we're glad to have been a part of your journey in Cambodia. We hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the future! Best regards Angkor Doors Team

Delicious, knowledgeable, encouraging
Thank you pat! You gave us a great tour even though we were a little unenthusiastic due to being tired from travelling! Thank you for showing us your local haunts and teaching us how to eat your interesting and tasty cuisine. We were a bit scared to try the critters but you encouraged us and made us feel brave!

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Siem Reap Street Food Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Siem Reap Street Food Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $16 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Siem Reap Street Food Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Siem Reap Street Food Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Siem Reap Street Food Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Siem Reap Street Food Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Siem Reap Street Food Tour?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Siem Reap Street Food Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
