Angkor Wat with family

The transportation, cold water and cool towels were wonderful. While we enjoyed seeing the temples we didn't enjoy the "locker room humor" of and somewhat crude remarks that made our whole family uncomfortable. We spent more time listening to history and stories than exploring and seeing the temples. There were 3 times where we were listening to 45 min history lectures before being able to continue on with our tour many times not even in view of a temple. This continued even after we asked to be able to see more and hear less. This is not the tour to take if you have children and want to spend time exploring Angkor Wat.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you appreciated the transportation, cold water, and refreshing towels. At the same time, we are truly sorry to learn that parts of the guiding style did not match your expectations, especially as you were traveling with your family. Our guides aim to provide historical and cultural context to help visitors better understand Angkor; however, this should always be balanced with guests’ preferences and comfort. We take comments about inappropriate humor and pacing very seriously, as this is not the standard we expect from our team. Unfortunately, without details about the tour date or guide, it is difficult for us to review this internally and take corrective action. We would genuinely appreciate it if you could contact us directly with more information, so we can better understand the situation and ensure future guests have an experience tailored to their needs—especially families with children. Thank you again for your feedback, which helps us improve our service. Kind regards, Vamos Cambogia Turismo

Perfect private tour!

Was a great trip where Mr.Buth Veasna, our knowledgeable and polite guide revealed the mystery of the Angkor temples. Informative, in a comfort of private vehicle, custom tailored. Siem Reap was a big surprise for my family traveling with two teens. Quality service, kind people, safe tours. I hope to come back soon!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! We’re thrilled that Buth Veasna could make your Angkor tour memorable and comfortable, and that your family enjoyed exploring Siem Reap. It’s wonderful to hear you felt safe and well cared for. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit!

5 Star private tour of Angor Wat and the kuken waterfall

Our tour guide BUTH was excellent. We although we booked a private tour and would have only had a tuck tuck. He took the initiative to pick us up in an air-conditioned car believing that I would be more comfortable. Buth’s English was excellent and his 20?yrs experience as a guide made our trip perfect. His knowledge of Cambodian history was invaluable in understanding the legacy of Angor Wat. His attentiveness to my needs, I am 78yrs old, was greatly appreciated. BUTH made an excellent suggestion to Visit the Kulen Mtn waterfall and the national museum. And his outstanding suggestion of a buffet dinner show was a highlight of our trip. He reserved a front row table for us on short notice. Book with BUTH for a five Star plus private tour and you will get to know Cambodia intimately!!!! My husband and I plan to return to Cambodia soon for a second longer visit and we will surely contact BUTH! We will be recommending him to friends who are planning a trip in February.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled that Buth made your private tour comfortable, informative, and memorable. It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the Kulen Waterfall, museum, and dinner show. We look forward to welcoming you back to Cambodia on your next visit!

Siem Reap Private Full Day Angkor Wat Tour with Sunset or Sunrise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Siem Reap Private Full Day Angkor Wat Tour with Sunset or Sunrise cost?

+

Prices start at $23 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Siem Reap Private Full Day Angkor Wat Tour with Sunset or Sunrise take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Siem Reap Private Full Day Angkor Wat Tour with Sunset or Sunrise worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Siem Reap Private Full Day Angkor Wat Tour with Sunset or Sunrise?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Siem Reap Private Full Day Angkor Wat Tour with Sunset or Sunrise suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Siem Reap Private Full Day Angkor Wat Tour with Sunset or Sunrise?

+

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Siem Reap Private Full Day Angkor Wat Tour with Sunset or Sunrise start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
