Countryside Biking Tour

I decided to go on a countryside biking tour to get away from the tourist area for a few hours. This tour was absolutely amazing! The locals love opening their hearts to foreign travelers. I was able to see how the crops and farming supported the bigger community and their way of living. My tour guide, Rith was very accommodating and gave me a warm welcome when he greeted me at my hotel for pick up. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Siem Reap.

Countryside bike tour for family of 4

We went on the countryside bike tour with our parents. We visited a local school, villages and a local market. The tour ended at a lotus lake which was very beautiful. Our guide, G Ra, was very professional and accommodating. He cycled the tandem bike with my mum as she wasn’t a good cyclist. Throughout the trip, both G Ra and the company constantly made sure we were ok. Last minute, he also helped arrange a tuktuk for our return trip. Highly recommend going with them and having G Ra as your guide!

Great experience despite the rain!

We had a really fun time cycling with our two children (7 and 10). Our guide and 2 trainee guides were super informative and so lovely with the children. The tour was not too challenging (which was good) but certainly a fun adventure. We saw a couple of pagodas, a croc farm, a rice mill and a rice field. It was really interesting to find out about the way of life of the villagers. The bikes were really good quality and we all felt extremely safe. A definite highlight of our time in Siem Reap. Our guides were Mr. G RA, Sochea and Roth.

AMAZING "REAL CAMBODIAN" EXPERIENCE!

My husband and I were lucky enough to have G-Ra as our tour guide for the countryside half day tour this morning and we loved every minute of it! Couldn't recommend this tour highly enough to those of you wishing to do something different and see "the real Cambodia". We enjoyed visiting the local's market it was a really big eye opener, and getting a glimpse into local life out on their farms. If you don't mind roughing it a bit and riding on the dirt roads and out in the sun (which honestly is fun in itself as we felt a world away from the big pesky tour buses and hustle bustle of town) definitely book this in! The bikes were great and adjusted for us. G-Ra was extremely courteous, professional and knowledgable and happily answered all of our questions about Cambodian life, farming practices and local culture. He is a real gem and a credit to the company. We learnt a lot about the beautiful Cambodian people and their way of life. The local children are all so friendly waving and saying hello from the roadside as we went past which was so heartwarming to experience. Unique Adventure the Cycle Tour really looked after us, made us feel special, and we were really happy to support a local company that infact does a lot to give back to their community, rather than some big tour organiser where you're just a number. Also if you're worried about riding on the siem reap road out of town with the chaotic traffic please don't be, G-Ra made it so easy for us and also there is a natural sort of order/flow which made it so easy to cross roads etc it was no problem at all, in fact its easier on a bike than as a pedestrian I think! We would definitely recommend Unique Adventure Cycle Tours and can't wait to try out another of their tours when we return to Cambodia in the future.

Amazing experience!

I did the countryside tour with G Ra, and it was great. He speaks good English and gave a lot of background information throughout the tour. Bikes are in excellent condition, and G Ra was always making sure that I was doing ok with the bumpy road. This tour is perfect if you want to get away from the touristic places and learn more about the real life in Cambodia. Could not recommend more!

Siem Reap Half-Day Village & Local Life Bike Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Siem Reap Half-Day Village & Local Life Bike Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Siem Reap Half-Day Village & Local Life Bike Tour take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Siem Reap Half-Day Village & Local Life Bike Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Siem Reap Half-Day Village & Local Life Bike Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Siem Reap Half-Day Village & Local Life Bike Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Siem Reap Half-Day Village & Local Life Bike Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Siem Reap Half-Day Village & Local Life Bike Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
